Please, we need a quick one on this...

Northern Inland (NSW) Regional Sponsor 489. Information about the regional areas will be highly appreciated.

In as much as we don't really encourage 489 visa on this forum. However, there are some set of people that couldn't meet up with the 60 points threshold after all permutations and combinations.

Thanks!

D reference letters r sufficient. Only oda thing is payslips. Tax certs not necessary. D booklet is clear on what you should provide. I submitted reference letter and payslips only and I had no issues with EA.

Thanks

Unfortunately, I can't be of help on this occasion. I don't live in New South Wales, if I have to provide any information on the region, I would have to use Google which means we will arrive at the same conclusion if you also use Google.

I'm very sorry bellong and all.

I'm contacting EA before I brief the house on the outcome. My degree has not been assessed/commented on. Although I have a B.Tech.

Once again, pardon me.

Thanks.

No ill-feelings..

Let us know what EA says.

Thanks Sammy I appreciate. We've already stressed ourselves out gathering everything. Thanks any way.

Do you suggest, we seek state nomination first (Accountant) to help increase the points score?

Before the gurus come on board, let me share my "learner's" insight with you cheesy

What is his most recent experience? Accountant? Even if his most recent experience is that of Internal Audit, he may still get a positive assessment from one of the accounting bodies i.e. CA/CPA/IPA

His IELTS result is not bad. Note that IELTS Academic is required for the purpose of skills/qualification assessment by most, if not all, the accounting bodies.

You may refer to page 0 of this thread and consider other factors such as age, partner points etc to make an informed decision on whether to go for visa subclass 189 or 190.

Interestingly, "Accountant" as an occupation appears on both SOL and CSOL. That gives you an opportunity to check if partner points will work.

Also note that you can submit EOI for both 189 and 190 with the same application on Skillselect.

@Kike100,

You don't need IELTS to assess with VETASSES. You can go for the internal audit occupation but make sure his descriptions align with that of the ANZSCO description.

What did your husband study? He is better as the principal applicant.

KIKIADE:

The only way is to present a job offer letter.

Why are you considering 489?

bellong:

Your question is ambiguous. Everybody has a reason for relocation, individual differs on why he/she chose to relocate, so streamlining experience into one sentence will not answer your question.

First, identify why you want to move. Some moved because they want to live in a sane environment, some for personal health, some to escape family drama and issues while majority relocated for economic prosperity.

In saying the above, your reason for relocation will determine whether the move worth it or not. However, irrespective of the reasons that initiated your relocation, you will definitely find what you are looking for in the long run.
If you are moving for economic prosperity, I wouldn't say you will get a job immediately you arrive but no matter what you will get something reasonable doing within the first six months "worst" case scenario. It is why the government advised that migrants bring enough resources for the first six months.
It doesn't mean you can't get a job immediately. South Australia has the highest rate of unemployment despite the statistics, I know people who got something doing within three weeks of arrival. No two people are the same, there are individual circumstances such as your employable skills, good resume, transferable skills, good cover letter and interview performance not forgetting networking which can land you a job faster than any other process.

In summary, understand why you are relocating so you will be able to measure if your dreams or expectations have been met. Then have a realistic expectations of what to get. The system is relatively fair to all except you are extremely ignorant. Be conversant with your work conditions and speak up against your employer if your rights are being trampled on or if you are being denied. No one has the right to bully you at work, if you are being bullied or discriminated against, you have the luxury of escalating it to the Work, Health and Safety (WHS) body in your state to mediate. This is without any repercussions against you.

For my own reasons, expectations are being met and for everyone in this country, things can only get better.

I can't help stressing on these when peeps ask such questions. I mean it can't be said any better.

Hi. Nysc certificate wasn't requested for. I decided to upload it since I mentioned it in my application and one is required to explain gaps in employment in forms 80 and 1221, hence, was evidence

Scan the yellow fever vaccination pages and front cover

Evidence of polio will also take a page in ur vaccination booklet if you go to porthealth for vaccination

thank you @bellong and @40manlanppy

My concern for the IELTS is when one is calculating the points. If we use accounting, he has just 2 yrs as an accountant & we need at least 5yrs to get points( he is currently a project manager in a bank) whilst if we go with internal auditor, we would not be given a score on the point system for IELTS.

Am confused ooo, pls epp

This is heartwarming! smiley

Thanks for the piece of information.

I have BSc (Banking & Finance) from OOU, almost 10 years of experience in banking, a professional certificate from Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and an MBA (Finance) that I got 3-4 years into my working life.

Do you think I stand a chance of getting a positive assessment from VETASSES for Financial Institution Branch Manager?

Was it the degree assessed as negative or the experience?

@Kike100,

I don't understand where you got info that your IELTS wouldn't count from.
If the IELTS was written in the last three years, the score in academic is enough to claim 10points.

When was the last experience in internal audit? With his qualification, and good reference letter matching ANZSCO, he should get a positive assessment.

@40manlappy,

Why do you have to go through the stress for 5points. Why not exercise patience till you get invite from either a State or direct.

In addition, Tyosho said she got a negative assessment with OOU degree. So, discard my initial information, it was wrong.

I believe your degree was assessed to equal AQF Bachelors, you have your full 15 points from qualification.

Engineering technologist is on both lists. It is left for you to rack up points from other sources. I want to believe your experience was accepted too. You can claim points from it if you have at least 3yrs.

All you need now is to fill the EOI if you have good score in English and wait for invitation. You can send application to new South Wales or Victoria also for nomination.
