I have no qualms with d fg paying for the release of the girls.. ..imagining having ur daughter kidnapped, won't u try all possible means to effect her release. ....Life is more important than money
But if u go to driving school, u will be asked shud if u re a driver of a bus conveying 18 passenger and plying on a speed of 140km/hr , and all of a sudden ur wife or ur mother appears on the middle of the rd, will u try to save her and lose ur life and the lives of the passengers or do otherwise?
You secured the release of 21 chibok girls to the detriment of many citizens and soldiers, who then lose?
The truth z dat the person or group of person that paid money to the Sunni sect(Bokoharam) shares the same ideology with them, they just contributed their own dues in the Jihad course , they are nothing but Al Mujahids.

Look at you. U're ranting here, what would you have say if those girls were not released? Infact Nigerians were the ones who forced the FG into negotiating with BH, I could remember Buhari saying then that he won't negotiate, but people staged protests asking him to negotiate, now the result is here, u are here ranting rubbish. It's so clear Nigerians can't be satisfied.. ..
Meanwhile you can write a journal on how to successfully combat Boko Haram, even Niger Delta sef, u say make govt negotiate, tomorrow now, u'll come to Nairaland and rant over its effect just to show ur hate for Buhari. but you know what, the more you hate, the more he prosper.
We have lots of military intelligence experts on NL,shame they are not rightfully employed!

Let's keep blaming the previous administration.
One day you'll wake up to find that your house has been blown up.
The current government was elected because they promised us CHANGE but all we've been getting are lies, propaganda, excuses, blames, trial nd error.

I voted neither jonathan nor buhari because I knew they both were not good enough for this country
Every single time I hear this nonsense accusation about 'this govt only blaming the last admin', I just scroll back up to the origin of the discussion and one thing has always been constant; it is usually agents and supporters of the last useless admin that start the blame game, but they become the first to lament when their favour is returned.

Just imagine the bizarre nonsense, a diehard jonathan supporter blaming buhari for the chibok saga and hailing GEJ in the same sentence?

Obama will allow the U.S. to negotiate directly with terrorists holding hostages
By Dave Boyer - The Washington Times
Wednesday, June 24, 2015

In a move that critics said will endanger more Americans, President Obama announced Wednesday that he will allow U.S. officials to negotiate directly with terrorist groups holding Americans hostage, saying the government “must do better” for families of captives who want to make ransom payments.
Mr. Obama said he was “clarifying” that federal policy allows U.S. officials to contact terrorists on behalf of families seeking the return of their loved ones. U.S. policy forbids the government itself from making ransom payments.

I'm sure you too agree with me on this.

Re: Boko Haram Used Chibok Ransom To Buy Powerful Weapons – Military Sources (Punch) by purpledandelion: 12:17pm On Nov 12, 2016
Detained boko haram key strategists were released as part of the negotiation deal, then some ransom as well. You need no terrorist expert to tell you what that means. Bubu and his cohorts must have forgotten their brain in the other room before making this decision. Scoring political point won't add an ounce to your credibility because you've got none whatsoever. Now gallant soldiers will bear the brunt of that silly mistake, they will be dumb not to declare mutiny against the Nigerian army.

I agree with you but you ought to know we're talking of different things. While i agree buhati and his crew are yet to fulfil what they were voted for, I find it ridiculous that some Jonathan supporters can still shamelessly try to also insult buhari whilst hailing gej at the same instance for something gej was even more guilty of.

US continues to push for negotiations with Taliban despite direct ties to al Qaeda

The US government and military continue to seek a negotiated settlement with the Afghan Taliban despite the group’s continuing support for al Qaeda and the increased leadership role the Haqqani Network plays in the Afghan insurgency.

Despirate step to score a cheap political point at expence of the life of the millitary men and the public at large.

Buhari and his APC band of rouges should be arraigned for genocide and war crime respectively.

21 (economic burden) good for nothing Chibock girl in exchage for about 100 galant men.

No wonder the need to borrow $30b to pay the balance for boko haram to release more girls.

Boko haram is a grand scam and conspiracy.

Of course. What did government expect they will do with the money? Throw a lavish owambe in Sambisa forest?

Funding and recruitment is the hardest task for insurgents, and the FG just made it much easier for them. There's a good reason other government don't negotiate with terrorists, but Bubu merely sees this as compensating his brothers.
What happens when the military goes into a large scale mutiny, over the recent upsurge in strength and firepower that has led to the deaths of their comrades? That's a scary thought.

Nairaland pple I wanna ask a question and I want intelligent pple to quote me with a goood answer.

every terrorist has their aim which is the creed they swear byt they would achieve. al-Qaeda dispsies the Us and swears they would destroy their country boko haram ravaging north est nigeria is entirely against western education. funny enough in the entire nigeria only the north is considered to e the least educated with the exception of yorubas and igbos so why is it that boko haram are not infact launching more dealdy attacks in regions that aer more exposed to western education like the igbos hausas and ss but they kill their own people more thats a billion dollar question.

but that aside if boko haram were to be attacking sw and se and ss. I feel ordinarily the kings and spiritual priest like the jazz men wouldnt take it lightly for example I can only imqgine worse if the so called boko haram attacks a place like oyo town where the alafin of oyo resides they may do it first time and get away but I can bet you even the pple dat hav jazz least to the alafin would revolt.

From the way I see things I think the north truly knows much about boko haram dan any and the solution. if the emir of yola as at 1980 could use jazz thqt burnt matasince members how small is boko haram dat the emirs cant unitarily defeat

moreover ive have not seen any genuine emotional grief by the elite northerns who hav critised boko haram and deir doings for ills in their region whereas oby ezekweseli isshoutijg the top of her voice condeming critising damming and giving a wake up call for memebers of the nigerian govenrment to sit up and fight against this memnace funny enough shees not a northerner .

from my littleknowldege ive had of this daylight killers with zero joy they have some spiritual backings with kanuri black magic which makes them twice as strong as they should be. I dont see this as a fight nigeiran army can ever win but a small mecanries of nigerian hunters with the same jazz could defeat boko haram and comb them out from their coven funny enough

my 2cents

It's not easy to be a leader o.Bubu's effort is not even being appreciated despite his facilitation of release of now 25 girls.what should we now say of d man underwhich d girls were abducted and did nothing to even get 1 back. Two things can only happen,it is either Bubu uses force to destroy BH in a short time and all d girls killed along or he uses a long time approach that see to save return of the girls and continuous BK havocs on d nation.Bubu can not kill himself. No be him cause d situation.

I am just wondering if the money was paid in cash or through funds transfer with this, the govt should be able to trace BH big wigs..Its obvious BH is here to stay

Obviously, you are the brainless one.

The previous administration had nearly destroyed the last of BH before this one took over. And it did this without paying any ransom.
It did this despite Buhari and the entire northern oligarch opposing the killing of BH members and even covertly supporting the terror group.
It did this despite the fraud Dasuki committed by channeling funds meant for buying weapons into private pockets.
It did this despite America not supporting its efforts to acquire weapons to fight the insurgents, and they had to resort to the black markets.
It did this despite the north feeling that the then COAS Ihejirika was waging a war of vendetta against the NE.

With the goodwill that ushered this present government into power, and with Buhari promising he will eradicate an already weakened BH immediately he assumes power, everyone expected a lot more than this.

If you have any brain, like you said, bring it out of your ass and use it.
If GEJ, being a weakling, could rout BH without giving in to their demands, what excuse does a former general in the army, a northerner and a Muslim who should understand the mindset of these terrorists, will present to make you ask such a silly question about what I expect him to do?

Are you retardëd, or you are just pretending to be?
In case you were living under a rock prior to the 2015 elections, the major reason why most people voted for Bubu was because he was expected to deal BH a death blow. APC built his campaign on that.

Did you wake up this morning and felt you needed to make excuses for a government that barely gets anything right since its inception?

Asswipe.
