LETS SAY I CHOOSE TO DO ONLY THREE TRIPS IN A WEEK, DATS 75k IN A WEEK. THEN MULTIPLE IT 2 C HOW U MAKE IN A MONTH. NO BANK CAN PAY U DAT AMOUNT.

Oga no adjustment was made for the risks associated with the task. Your estimation is far from reality.

They got a good deal, when the same Bank told me to drop my letter a few months back in a Gestapo move. I did, I didn't get a dime from them because "they said I resigned " how I survived and am surviving about 7months after is a super miracle of the abundant Grace of God.
I wish them well.

Wow why the double standard....any way may the Grace of God continually keep you and increase you.

Op the headline suppose to be "Zenith bank empowered some of its workers''. This is because N10M no be N1,000

Dude that money might look big but it depends on (1) The living standard they have become used to (2) responsibility towards extended family (3) debt owed like car loan, mortgage, etc (4) if married & spouse working or not (5) savings from salaries.

Some bankers will spend around 500K or more on extended family this coming Xmas and others pay school fees for kids, siblings, cousins, nephews, nieces etc,. I know many like that.

Not many employees have good business skills. Most are just used to working & collecting salaries.

Unless they find another job soon or already have a side business, many will soon exhaust that 5 to 10m. I have seen that in the past too.

Oga, how much is a Sienna 2005? Can you easily buy it in Nigeria? Where would you sleep in Onitsha or PH assuming you live in Lagos and start your journey from there? Are there still lots of police collecting money on the road or they've reduced? How much will that cost for one way journey? Fuel cost? I'm curious to know how this works.

OK, SENNA LE OR CE WILL COST 2.8 MILL MINIMUM. AM FROM ANAMBRA, SO WHERE 2 SLEEP ISN'T ANY PROBLEM. IF I HAVE D SENNA, I WILL REGISTER IT UNDER ANAMBRA EXPRESS COMPANY OR ANIDS. ONCE REGISTERED UNDER EITHER OF DIS COMPANIES, POLICE HARASSMENT IS A THING OF D PAST. A FULL TANK WILL COST 15k. NOW DAT CAN TAKE ME FROM ONITSHA TO ORE. IF I ADD EXTRA 5k FUEL I CAN REACH LAGOS SAFELY. AT ANIDS D DRIVERS PAY 5k 2 BOTH D COMPANY N AGBORO DAT WILL LOAD PPLES LUGGAGES. TOTAL AMOUNT IS 25k D REST IS URS. HOPE DIS HAS HELPED U A LITTLE. I CHOOSE LAGOS ONITSHA ROUTE COS DATS D ROUTE I NO WILL.

The change is real

when you lay off a banker the spiral effect is monumental

it affects the following downline

His immediately family
The mum
father,
sibblings in schools
cousins planning to write WAEC or Jamb

all other dependants on his monthly support.

.....what of chicks and side chicks? angry

Banks have to streamline some of their processes to compete in this modern age. It's a no brainer.! ATM is doing half of the jobs they use to employ individuals to do. Online banking is cutting half. Cloud infrastructure is enhancing business processes. So, people have to get with the program. Learn new skill, update yourself with trending skills, enough of twitter and whatsapp gossips and the latest fad of Facebook live to gbeborun. Opportunities dey plenty out there, open your eyes and grab one.

Read my post again, albeit with an open mind. Not discouraging you but only letting you plan strategically. Traveling from point A-B, you must consider delay due to traffic vehicle breakdown etc. In your case, cost of maintenance, mishaps, miscellaneous expenses...etc, seem not to be covered.....the adjustments I talked about.

I keep telling my friends.
There's no career in banking. Just at that moment when youte trying to settle with the job and manage your responsibilities thats when the shocker comes. What skill will you even acquire as a banker? Its one of the most unstable jobs in Nigeria.
Acquire a professional skill today and be free. It can be painting, design, carpentry, auto tech, hair stylist, make over, interior decor, the list is endless.
