Why Rape Will Never Stop In Nigeria by Nobody: 6:00am On Nov 18, 2016
Hello all this is a rather sad story and shows why this country will not get better till we as a people change, not just the president.
Okay on Wednesday I didn’t go to work I was al=t home to sort something out then my Usual Konga.com delivery guy had called me that he was on his way to delivery some stuff to me and as always I went out to the gate with my atm card and cash just in case.

No while I was waiting I heard someone say NO… NO I look to my right & it was the familiar face of my neighbors younger brother, and he was standing with a girl s=who seemed to refuse to benter the compound , she was saying something like I told you I want to rush to do my hair and now you are bringing me her, she was smiling but her voice was clear, then he said just two minutes let me change quickly please… now I wasn’t paying attention to this so much what drew my attention was her admant refusal to enter the compound, and the fact I haven’t seen her with the useless boy before, now I don’t like the boy he is arrogant and looks like a criminal.
He is my neighbors kid bro, Lanre works with Chevron and is a real good guy, but his kid bro just gives me bad vibes, I just have never warmed to him despite several attempts by him to get close.( he just has one of those faces)

Now I focused my attention on the road again wondering why my Konga delivery guy was wasting so much time…Then I heard no now!! I can’t enter and to my surprise they were inside the compound in the car park, now my compound is big and you have to go through a walk way if you walk in to get to the car park that where they were and it seems she was insisting on waiting for him there but he wanted her to come inside.
Gain I diverted my attention away bored and unimpressed, now I waited for over 30 minutes called my Konga delivery guy and he finally said he had to make some quick stops that he would come straight to the house when he gets here so I went inside.

Now before you get to my apartment you walk past Lanre’s the compound was empty as everyone had gone to work my car was the only one parked so everywhere was pretty silent too.
As I got to Lanre’s door I was hearing please, please, blood of Jesus please please no I cant, Now I thought to myself “Now that’s some wild love making” then I went inside.
Now as I was trying to relax the screams got louder and I was hearing thumping like someone is hitting someone against the wall or punching someone. Now I got concerned and I went out just by my apartment door and I could hear her squealing like she is being choked yet she was crying and begging that’s when I lost it I went towards his door and to my surprise I saw another neighbors son a teenager just standing at the door I screamed bang on that door he was scared obviously so I kicked the door repeatedly till he opened the door covered in sweat and in his briefs she ran out bleeding from her mouth, underwear torn, she ran behind me at that moment Musa an MTN staff who just drove in also came straight there as he had heard the banging and the boy was saying she is my girl frined and blah blah blah I just walked away as we took the girl outside.
Now she was bleeding badly from her left eye, mouth, and she had very thick welts on her neck which indicate she was being strangled repeatedly.
At this point on of the security men came and we told him to go apprehend the guy only for him to come back and say the guy jumped through the back window and ran .
The girl’s eyes where red and she was crying heavily, someone went and brought her clothes for her she dressed and was insisting she doesn’t want to police involved because I was already going to the round about on my street to talk to the RRS men there, would you believe after I explained everything to them they said that they have no fuel to take her to their station they have been instructed to head to Apapa now so I should take her myself?
Wow.
So I went home determined to take her and yet she was still crying saying she doesn’t want the police involved that the boy will kill her, that they are in the same university that he will kill her that he is a big cultist in her school.. and I am like what?
Later I got to hear from some people that Lanre the boys elder bro who works in Chevron donates generously to the RRS and Police bosses around hence any issue involving his younger will b=end,
I could have taken the issue up myself but the young lady refused out of fear and shame obviously…

Small wonder why rape will never end in Nigeria, VIctims are scared to talk, or ashamed to talk and the police are busy being corrupt once it involves and generous client.

How then do women and children find safety here?

It's a pity but that doesn't mean we should relent in bringing justice to such..

If the police cannot handle the matter then there are NGOs who are very ready to make sure the boy heads to jail without bail.

Really sad story but who is to be blamed? Pretty sure the lady knew what she was getting into when she was persuaded to enter.Ladies won't just stop famzing perceived bad guys and of course those bad guys will always do what they know how to do best(In this case rape). And as for the policemen,no comment.

If both of them are in the same school then chances are high that she knew he was a cultist. What took her to him? I know rape is a crime but girls too have the responsibility of protecting themselves by thinking and acting smart, I have met many girls that think the bad guy is the best boyfriend material , well, they should continue.

Thanks babes, the idaiotic girl knew and she followed him. Just say No and not further play with it! Forrrking say NO and mean it. Why then follow a known cultist to his den? She learnt her lesson... hopefully, she would pass it on to her dumb friends . If the law can't protect you, protect yourself the best you could.
