I just got a job opportunity that requires a bit of swimming knowledge,after checking online for swimming schools I discovered that the price on it is just too expensive for me (unemployed)so if there is anybody that can spare the time to help me out I'll be most greatful

it not really hard, just go to the pool, and jump inside, you will not watch yourself drown, i know that sure

The key is relaxation, as someone said earlier you won't watch urself drown, try getting your self to float first before trying to move by flapping.
Never try to dive in
