pleuylovepk:Did you do biometric verification at all? If yes, no need to fear. Please house, where do these so called agents get these visas? Abeg no mind my 'noviceness' o. For someone to put something of that nature on a person's document like that, I believe such person deserves to be jailed. |

When they deny visa, I think they tick the reason (among the list of reasons for denial) in the refusal letter they give. In my case, there is nothing like that o. Wetin I do? Jayfierce, Awelekiti, Bigfide, Nam16, and my every other family members in the house, your responses are needed. |

RedReact:I hereby tender a conspiracy theory that October/November na kalo-kalo month for CIC! As it seems, quite a handful of rejections in these months. Bros, make well apply for your GCMS notes; we must get to the root of the matter! I applied for mine already, says to "wait 31 days before requesting status update'', so wait I shall; let's see what the actual reasons are contained therein in the notes- as for the denial sheet, 'travel history' and 'purpose of visit' were ticked. All the best. |

nam16:You're right. I wasn't advising the guy or anybody to go to Germany. I was just comparing Germany's visa processing time with that of canada . Despite how strong their economy is and their position in Europe, dem no dey waste time on visa processing like Canada, wey no fit rub shoulder with dem. They're just being unfair the way they keep us on visa processing queue endlessly. Naija go beta |

Billiondoe:But why is it that most of our people are fond of abusing the privilege accorded them? My first trip to US over a decade ago was through same New Horizons(New Horizons Computer Learning Centers Inc.). 2 of My friends and I took their Ms Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition Course, at the Mall of the Americas in Florida back then. They were not yet in Nigeria as of that time. One of my friends, before we returned home asked them about any possibilities of taking their franchise to Nigeria but after a thorough search on their partners' database, they disovered that a Nigerian had actually got the franchise. A few months after we arrived home, I spotted their banner under the bridge of Ikeja. Should this case become known to the mgt of New Horizons Computer Learning Centers Inc. in the US, the franchisee might lose the right and his fraudulent behaviour could block the chance of other innocent nigerians who might wish to get the franchise in future. This isn't nice. |

? Seriously, you're not as upset as I am each time I read people's reactions in this forum on this issue. I've seen no difference between canada in terms of infrastructure, standard of living, security and what have you, when compared to what's obtainable in other western countries with much less visa processing times, except job opportunities and that was before because, canada is also in a technical recession right now and it's predicted by forbes to linger a few years more. You know what that means? High debt profile and massive Job cuts. I renewed my German visa recently and it took just 10 calendar days to process...and Germany is the largest economy in Europe. However, if we had a good government ,we'd have less reasons for visiting canada and other countries except it's compulsory. If you check the visa processing time on the CIC website, country by country, ours is about the longest, so sad
. I once asked my south African friend why he's not visited US or Canada on vacation despite his buoyant financial status and he said everything in those counties are also available in their country....imagine! Try and check visa processing time of south Africa yourself, I'm sure you'd be more upset than you currently are, by the time you find out. Truth is always bitter to tell most times. Our generation must work hard to put this country in good, if not better shape because nobody will help us achieve this. Ask those on 6 digit salary in canada how far. They will give you epistles. It's not easy out there and that's why I always encourage friends out there to always look back and invest home. A few of us who took the bold step are happier today though there are challenges but surmountable. I wish you a positive outcome on your visa.
