I gotta give it to ya... Your "annoying" prediction was spot on. Our girls were flat-footed for most of the game today. I was so disappointed.

They kept the team under pressure throughout the game misplacing passes. i wonder why she prefers ikidi to ebere as a LB because ebere is far better class than her. This has always being the bane of our local coaches- selection and tactics. The girls were slow & only interested in long balls to the strikers. They need to hold the ball & pass not loading it.

You are quite right. I just couldnt fathom why they continued to heap long balls into the half of the Ghanaians. It was not working and they still kept doing it. We should have played a 3-4-3 with wing backs. It would have loaded the midfield and nullified the Ghana midfield.
Also that referee was really really bad. The penalty she gave was really harsh because the Ghana girls were getting away with murderous tackles with not so much of a warning. There was also a Nigerian player knocked down in the Ghana penalty box but nothing was given, generally officiating has been very poor.
But if we meet Ghana again I am sure we will beat them.

Ohale is a centreback. Ebere cant bench Ohale but Ikidi (who can play both fullback roles).

Lol, noted. The formation is different now though cos sometimes ohale plays as an overlapping left back. Gloria ofoegbu also played in that role.

I couldnt agree more... But cool it on Omagbemi's technical prowess, she took over this team just this year. So please, exercise some patience with her... I hope she learns from today's game.

This was the first time that the Super falcons failed to play with their heads low. They failed to understand that it is a team game and not about individuals. They were taking it from an individualistic approach which almost cost them the loss. Ghana were the better of the two sides in the second half unlike the first half which was a balanced affair. A lot of lessons to be learnt surely from this game because there lies huge challenges ahead. Not surprised that Ghana gave Nigeria a match today as they showed why they are the real rivals and not Cameroon or Southafrica. Kenya will still provide a good opposition for the African Champions as well going by what they performed in the previous game against Ghana. Their first half display was a pointer that the Cecafa championship was no fluke. Let's not forget that the match between Nigeria and Ghana was a champions affair as well. The African Champions (Nigeria) and the all-africa games soccer champions. Don't be surprised if we see a Champions final. Till then.

Lol calm down, the falcons were disappointing true, but reading the comments here would make one who didn't watch the match think the Ghanians applied all the pressure and falcons did nothing. I understand tho, expectations were high.

I bet you from what l saw today, Ghana would not survive if they meet Naija again. Note Nigeria has never beaten Ghana at the group stage before and history simply repeated itself.
