I've suffered all of this and more and what's more it's also from the hands of Nigerian bosses |

the ''boss'' mentality....nothing like it. |

eezeribe:Very smart of you to realise that. The problem is in the society. Nigerians are a backward people. Only when the society becomes more enlightened and refined will things change. I've said it all over the place: Nigerians are victims of the very values they all subscribe to. And by the way, keep "borning" more and more children so that supply of "slaves" would continue even more to outstrip demand. Nigeria is indeed a joke! |

blackprowler:IN Nigeria it's usually culture and religion over common sense You will see a man of over 37 no job yet he will marry because the society says so. After getting married he will be the one getting his wife pregnant every month till HE has 8 children because HE wants his mother to see his grand kids before she dies and because the bible says it's not good for a man to be alone without proper understanding of his situation and circumstances It's those same children HE cannot cater for that he will be distributing around to go and live with aunties and uncles |

If you havent found youself in that situation you wouldnt know how horrible it is.. Am currently going through such heartbreaking situation...that list isnt complete sef add,"suspension and deduction of salary", At my place of work am currently on suspension for no just good cause,of which the days will be deducted from the money he feels he is doing me a favour with, I have worked in this place for almost 3yrs now,hv been suspended for up to 5times n I will be asked to report back with a letter of re-engagement,...I was sick last month,i got a msg from the offc take the week n treat yourself n resume nextweek...I fink say na better talk...only for me to see that the week was deducted from my end of month pay..my ppl 6k+... The current suspension I dont even know when it will end sef, since last 2weeks...its seriously not fair, they humilate n frustrate you, because they pay you stipends,i hope not to do such by Gods grace..i will soon be an employer..amen |

sipfruity:I get your point. The issue is whenever you see traces of being abused and OR your services ARE being exploited and you're not given the salary and respect you deserve it's time to start looking for plan b job OR betterstill start a buisness The truth is I don't blame employees who treat their bosses customers badly. Now I don't support bad customer services but these employees themselves ARE unhappy frustrated feel used don't feel appreciated OR respected hence they take out their frustrations and pain ON their bosses customers For example you're working in a company that your boss yells at you every time, your salary is barely enough to take care of your responibilities, you have no job fulfillment.you just do the job just to be able to pay your bills not that you enjoy the job why won't the clients suffer for it Some bosses on the other hand ARE so rude.they talk down and embarass their workers in the presence of their customers. All these are why employees don't show dedication and diligence to work or treat the customers right |

chillyjones:it's well.please I'll advise you that instead of sitting at home brooding, feeling depressed angry bitter or resentful start looking for jobs elsewhere. Start sending your cvs about. You cannot continue working in a place where you're treated like a slave and your dignity is stripped off from you.search elsewhere because you cannot continue living your life full of hate and pain |

chillyjones:yes please do and meanwhile when you collect your last entitlements Start up a small scale buisness and resign from that your place of work.by the way if I may ask WHAT services do you render for them that your salary is always being tampered with |

I worked somewhere that housed both d organization and their house. One day d employer's wife called a staff who happened to be her husband old school classmate to come and fetch water for her to bath, d woman refused and all f husband could say is "My wife has every right to send anybody msg". Well all the staffs resigned that month, although it was not planned but no one want to receive such insult. |

Frm 2 too 6, dats applicable too d company am still working for now. They just sack workers and @d end pay the person 15k plus his salary, which is very bad. People working in office are like God while people working on site are like slaves |

dangotesmummy:What you said is true. But i have learnt to define things properly. I am talking based on experience. I have been abused and exploited but the truth is that I know for sure what I want, I still serve our customers rightly because of the law of karma. I don't know tomorrow but do you know what some of those customers I served are the ones I still call to tell them I am no longer with company About I am looking for another work. To employers, be good to your customers, despite the fact your employee is Pharaoh, you don't know the future. To what extent can you bear or not bear, what can or can't you endure? Know what you want. Always know that you have an option. Thank you |
