AW101 definitely has officers ready to fly it already. We don't just train pilot's based on assets on ground.

It's probably a mechanical error and bad luck for happening at such time.

Let us wait for an official report from NAF.

Rubbish! The Nigerian Air Force has been flying these as VIP transport for some time. Why and how would they suddenly lose those skills? Yet more conclusions sans facts, as usual.

Stop displaying your ignorance.

The Presidential Air Fleet is a branch of the Nigerian Air Force. The pilots who fly in the presidential air fleet are usually deployed from the Nigerian Air Force.

Amosu and Badeh both former CAS both flew Eagle One.

I wonder how many the army is planning on getting for the 6 GV6's we sold.

A battery is 8 guns, so I would assume that the minimum order is in the region of 9-10 (training/maintenance).
Our artillery batteries consists of 6 guns per battery. A cost saving measure.

During the 80s we had 8 guns as you know artillery damands a lot of logistics.

Trust me they are active every fvcking day!! The artillery school is at Klipdrif military base, but the range is on the other side of Potchefstroom about 30km apart.....you can hear the rounds landing if you are in Potch, and sometimes if you are in the right place you can hear them firing then a few seconds later you can hear the shells landing as well.

Does the Nigerian Air Force have an MRO facility?

Was the repainting done in Nigeria?

Probably in Nigeria. I can't find a number marking on that bird so I think it's just a recent painting. That's our desert camo scheme.
