At least they had the decency to alert subscribers. Etisalat just dumped the increased data prices on us unexpectedly.

I don't know why people still use that stingy network

Why not use Glo and change the APN to that of etisalat?

Check the screen shot below. I use Glo with etisalat APN settings and it's super fast. U can even use that of MTN or Airtel APN, that's if GLO speed is slow in your area but if it is fast, no need to change the APN.

SME Data resellers will have everyone covered in case the "change" in their advert means hiking the data bundle prices.

Their prices and data would b affected as well..

Wow, never knew that changing APN can affect network speed. Buy I'm always reluctant to change, I've been sing etisalat for over five years now. I don't know to dump their sim and switch to another network embarassed

I thought NCC is supposed to have our backs?
This isn't funny.
I Will have the stock up on data, can't really afford to pay premium on data in this recession.

UNFORTUNATELY, I JUST CONFIRMED THIS MANDATION TO INCREASE DATA BY NCC from a friend mine that works in one of the telecom. I didn't want to believe it but it's true. All networks are to increase data effective from December but he said not all the networks are on board with this idea but what choice do they have. Let's see what will happen though.

I thought it won't take effect on either of the networks until dec 1. So when did etisalat review theirs?

we dont have to blame telcos, its simple greed from ncc who has seen their revenue reduced simply because of cheap data.we can now call anybody on whatsapp and stay hours without fearing for credit.ncc with salary almost equivalent to an oil company cant recoup taxes from voice calls as they use to ,after remitting to government some of the money ,they dont have enough again to share within themselves which made so uncomfortable.they sat down and decided an increase in data rate will balance or encourage voice calls so their money in their pockets again. they simply used their regulating power and dictated for the telcos.
