It doesn't cost upto 5Million Naira to erect a Bungalow in Sango Otta on a full Plot of land with BoleHole water included. That is an area with a Higher land Value and cost of Labourer compared to the North and mass structures. For the size of this structure (just below 200sqm for each) as we can see in the shows the land price is below 50,000 each then the structure without Tiling for sure is less than 1.5M to erect with the windows not costing upto 200,000 per unit. This structure value and the vicinity into consideration shouldn't cost more than 1.7M to 2M for Subsidy rate

Chai! Lack of vision is bad! Those houses are looking like refugee camp settings. Just take a cursory look at the appearance of the whole place: no trees to provide shades for afternoon relaxations, considering the brazen sunshine up that region.

I would rather(if I were a civil servant there) us that money(N2.7m) to scout and buy cheap 2-plots of land somewhere @ N700k, and build twin 3-bedroom flats, than be shortchanged in that potential disease endangered environment.

The northern Governors are jokes. Despite the prevalent poverty rate up there, they still milk there states citizens dry through scam projects like this. This valueless gibberish project of kiosk-looking housing apartments as this, can never help the people to grow in tandem with modern housing reality, for modem mass housing settings ought to appear far more serene and appetizing than that rubbish in those pictures.

Looking at those building you don't need to be a professional in the building & construction industry, to come to a conclusion that there quality is below standard.

What are the facility put in place that would make a state government sell those houses for #2.7m. And the proximity to the heart of a no state capital and other cost of building variation.

You just called a governor foolish. But from your second paragraph its very obvious you don't know a damn thing about what you are saying. Even before the Naira was devalued, you cant build a twin 3 bedroom flat at that amount. I think you should take a mirror and look at it. It will show you who is the foolish one here.

A governor is building 2000 housing units in his first 2 years of office, and people with good for nothing governors are here running their mouths.

The house itself might not cost 2.7 million to build but it will be close . The most important is the repayment plan as the govt will bear some risk if its long term payment, hence the additional cost.

For those criticizing the shape/look of the house. How many of you have seen how the houses in the outskirts of the North look? They are not built the way it is done in the south. Don't criticize what you don't know.

The internal facilities of the house could be of a higher quality than we all expect, you cannot tell that from the outside. When you criticize things without having full information, it only shows how narrow minded you are.

This is typical of us. these are contemporary homes. Not the usual we are accustom to seeing in Nigeria. The price is reasonable for responsible person that is young and willing to live within his or her earnings. Some of us are poor but want to our first home to be a mini mansion.

Far too expensive when people built 4bedroom flat on a plot of land including the cost of the land less than 5m somewhere in the West
