I don't think it shld necessarily be a drinking thingy, cos I have had to use gbogbo irawo black soap for my Ds,infact the guy selling warned against giving kids/babies things to drink, one can just treat the body as they come out, afteral most vaccines for his age has been taken

NB
And honestly, it worked, hmmmm,I can't say sha, becos while I was using it,I was using baby tribotan and sudocream,my aim was the smooth skined baby that I gave birth to sometimes in July, and that I got...shikena

Oh, this is my first time of hearing it this way oooo. Good then

Same here, i have heard pile before and also stooling/purging... so was not sure which one it was.
Especially when people say their babies have jedi-jedi..... it just ended up confusing me the more!

@florena, for the back pain, let any adult in the house help you, get a big towel put in hot water use it to cover yourself then they should also massage

Is that fish Greek too?

For the mama that asked where to get Greek food, well I know Greek salad is at shoprite, the one at alausa Ikeja. Then up stairs that mall, there's a restaurant call"ocean basket" they have it too ,its kind of better than the one sold at shoprite, don't get me wrong, didn't say shoprites Greek salad is bad .

Thanks, out of my way though. Ocean's Basket on the Island sells seafood, not Greek food. Strange.

Jedi-jedi is supposed to be caused by consuming excess sugar and a section of their butt comes out. They have to push it back in with a sanitary pad. At least that is what the people who described it to me always say. So it would be very hard for a baby to get it, especially one under the age of 6 months.

I know, I used to like going there because they serve decent-sized portions so you feel you're getting your money's worth for N6000 per plate. smiley

I've never been to the Ikeja location, only the location in V.I. It's a combo platter of different type of seafoods (fish, calamari, mussels, prawns etc), you can order a side dish. Pretty sure it was on the menu as that was what we ordered whenever we went there (and I used to go a bit regularly before having kids). Your prices are listed on the menu so unless they are overcharging for an extra bottle of water or a side dish on the tab, it would be hard for them to charge extra for the actual dish. Plus, we didn't pay with cash, so it won't make sense to steal money that doesn't come to you. It definitely wasn't the family platter.

Goodmorning everyone, thanks for all the information that has been shared on this thread. This is my first post here and I really need your advice. I have a 9months old son who hasn't slept for 3hour straight since birth. He always wakes up to breastfeed almost every hour. I am getting really exhausted. Maybe I caused it because I feel he does it out of habit sometimes but I don't know what to do to help him sleep longer. Please experienced mothers, will he learn to sleep longer on his own? Or how do I train him to do so. Sorry for my long post. I am just exhausted. Cc Onegai, Tatacherie, Zaynie, Soonest, Kaffy4bill, Blank, and other experienced mothers. Thanks.

Pls mamas as a nursing mother how do I get rid of jedijedi, I can't stand or sit straight, back pain is killing me too and I don't want to take all this local agbo.

I know we haven't registered here grin but pls help cry
Squeeze scent leaf and drink it for like 5 days, you can as well prepare bitter leaf soup to augment the scent leaf. Avoid sugary things.

For more clarification, is it back pain or waist pain?

If its back pain, it not jedijedi o, may be the way you are sitting breastfeeding. Lie on a flat surface for like 30 minutes everyday. Massage it with balm.

But if its waist pain, try my first option.

I don't know Magodo too well but I suggest you take a cab. Try googling Guest Houses and Hotels in Magodo and give them a call beforehand to find out their nightly rates.

Ovems, when your baby wakes up, give him water.

What do you feed him with for dinner. If he sleeps by 9pm for example, try n give him cereals by 8:30pm so that he will sleep longer b4 waking.
Also this hot weather isnt helping. Once they are hot and comfortable they wake up, breastfeeding will be the next on their mind.
Well, for most babies they don't sleep throughout the night if they are still breastfeeding. Don't worry very soon, once you wean, you will have your beauty sleep back. Cheers

ok , the flat surface is not matress o. And pls, adjust the way you breastfeed, bring baby close to breast rather than bending ur back when breastfeeding and avoid lifting heavy object. If you want to pick or carry things from the ground, don't bend ur back, do as if you want to kneel down and carry whatever you want to carry.

make sure you feed him well in the evenings before bedtime. that way you can rule out hunger: He is 9 months so i assume you have introduced solids.

you could also introduce formular for his last milk feed of the day before he goes to bed ( formular is heavier than breastmilk )so it should keep him fuller for longer. ( note that formular is not essential - just a suggestion as it has worked for me as it also helped me stop the habit of my dd nursing to sleep, others have survived without it)

then in the night if he wakes up give him water as Onegai has mentioned, he is probably waking up to feed out of habit. if you can give water without carrying him, the better.

good luck

Thanks.

- feed well right before sleep.
- let him sleep in his own cot. The smell of milk from your bweast might tempt him to wake up more often. He might be a light sleeper.
- cuddle him back to sleep when he wakes up. Hold him to the warm part of you and lull him back to sleep.
- give him water instead of food. Put water in his sippy cup or bottle. Once he wakes up, give it to him and put him back to sleep.

Apart from you being tired which is not nice since you need your energy and alertness to take care of him during the day, he can't continue to feed on a hourly basis, that is a straight road to ObesityLand.

Good luck
