Got this message too, terrible move from Airtel cos to be honest, cheap night plan bundles are the best thing about the network for now. I wonder what they'll come up with next. Naija what a nation. Just when we all thought data was becoming cheap, we're heading backwards again!

This isn't Airtel's fault, it's the NCC that made it mandatory for all networks to increase the price for data.
I got a similar message from mtn a few minutes ago.
The FG is ready to suck Nigerians dry, down to the bone marrow

They have done that of call tariff before. That was when minimum call rate was changed to 12k/s as directed by NCC. Any call rate less than that must have something like a fee or other condition attached to it. Remember mtn zone, if you've used it before? Then, in my area I used to call at 4k/s.
NCC to me has only one mission, to oppress the masses.
