The engineers across the Biafra side designed and manufacture the Ogbunigwe,while those on the Federal side did theirs too.

So stop underestimating Nigerian engineers.They would perform better when placed in a conducive environment.

The present environment is toxic for real engineering practice.

Bro,we are not happy that our country went to war.Engineers at both sides did feats.How about the landing of the 3 Marine Commando Division.The Military engineers played active role.That landing led to the capture of Port Harcourt and the entire Biafra Land at large.

The bottom line I am saying,don't underestimate us,Nigerian Engineers.

Despite the unfriendly and toxic environment,we are doing our best.We have some bad eggs,but notwithstanding,we rock!

It is a sad truth that most engineers shy away from politics.The lawyers are more in numbers.And more ever,just so sad that non-engineers lord over engineering-related parastatals and agencies.
But do note that we engineers are not resting on our oars,we are doing our best.
Agencies like NCC,NERC,NDDC,etc and Minister of Power should be headed by one of us.

Well,we are coming up now in politics and more vocal.

I am not a military dude,but what do you know about Strategic Planning,Warfare Tactics and the like.Most General attended NIPSS and I believe PMB did.Dunce don't attend that course.

It is sad Nigeria is in recession.But the genesis started from GEJ.And our present lawmakers not helping matters.So dont put all the blames on PMB.

What on earth has become of Nigeria. It seems that a lot of people and institutions are losing their values. How on earth should Buhari be the grand-patron of engineering in Nigeria. There are learned engineers with Phd, MSc, BSc in engineering. There are people who have carried out engineering researches and scholaric endeavors that the position fits and are able to guide and lead engineering sector and development in Nigeria. I tire for some Nigerians. PMB hasn't finishing thinking of the economy of the country, they hanged the engineering leadership on his shoulder, as in what. as in dumb engineering organization or what?
I wonder if Nigeria will ever survive as a nation with some myopic and timid set of people.

My brother, leave it, is he the only one? Is Nigeria in the war that we should take pride of military warfare. why did all generals leave the military to join democracy if that's the pride of the nation. Leave the military of today age. We are talking about appointing Buhari the engineering patron. it sounds very odd let alone believing it really took place. It's like putting a blind man in front to lead trek. I hope you know that History and religious knowledge are not taught in schools again. This is as a result of making people who do not know the values of education the leader of education institutions. What do you think. Would they go to Buhari to ask or seek advice on how to develop the next generation of technologies, theories, formula or scientific solutions. What do you think his answer would be. Of course you may say others should do that, then you are right others should be given the position.
This is not leading Nigeria anywhere. It is affecting every sector of the economy. Placing ignorant and selfish people into critical positions in Nigeria, making Nigeria have no values and that is what most people are suffering today. Tell me, if you have the great intellectual men and women we hear their names abroad in Nigeria to fix Nigeria, you think lives wont be better?

This is part of the numerous reasons why engineering is the most overlooked and insulted profession in Nigeris.

Which one be Nigerian Academy of Engineers? (most likely an arm of NSE trying to show itself). What is the use of this so called honour sef, all because of politically-initiated contracts.
