Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose on Tuesday fulfilled his promise of making #10m revolving loan available to Ekiti State tailors as he distributed cheques to some beneficiaries at a meeting organized for the fashion designers at the Government House Arcade in Ado Ekiti.

The governor who said the gesture is part of the state's social security scheme aimed at making life better for the citizenry urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the soft loan even as they ensure prompt repayment so others can benefit.

"The loan is to empower them in a little way, I made this promise 6 months ago and we are formally implementing it today, it is a #10m revolving loan for tailors, next year again by the grace of God I will support them the more, over 1000 people will be beneficiaries, after a moratorium period, they will start paying back about #500 a week so that others too can benefit", the governor said.

Nigerians are so gullible. They get conned by all sorts of people. By pastors, babalawos, politicians, even beggers con them.

A man steals over $40 million. Think about it for a moment. Let us assume he gave 10,000 tailors N20,000. Do the math.

20,000 in today's value is only $50. $50 x 10,000 = $500,000 or $0.5million, so he steals $40 million donates about 1% of that, and suddenly he becomes a hero. I don't blame Fayose, I blame dumb Nigerians who have allowed themselves to be bought and sold for pennies. In elections they would give them N500 or $1, and they would vote thieves that would steal again, screw them over and then donate 0.5% of the stolen funds. How dumb can Nigerians be. And by the way. What can N20,000 do for a business? Won't it be better Ekiti build a sustainable power supply for its citizens than donating 0.5% of stolen money?

Ayo Fayose is a crook, a man entangled in multiple assassinations in his state, a vile man who has no respect for those ahead of him. I don't even want to start with the con pastors before ebeano boys and political stooges destroy my message. I will stop here!

This is typical of African leaders.
Not Fayose alone. Africa is blessed with terribly insensitive and selfish leadership.
You do a newspaper advert of 90k, print 15million naira worth of billboards to distribute 10million naira loan?!!! Not even grant!!!! At 20k each??
You now pay another 1.5million for press coverage.
That is true leadership

Out of the N1.2billiin he stole from ONSA and the N2 billion he stole from the poultry project, he can only give N20,000 to Ekiti people? He used the change to buy houses in Lagos and one in Abuja for his sister. Thank God for the EFCC. We can now see through the hypocrisy and wickedness of this man.

Ekiti people have been devalued like the naira. How can you queue to take picture in the name of receiving a cheque for a "revolving loan " of 20k?

Stomach infrastructure has destroyed their sense of pride.

A revolving loan means the money lent out can not go round all the beneficiaries simultaneously, so some people will have to repay theirs before others can get, until it goes round the cycle.

You don get am?
