I asked our sabi mamas what kind of prenatals I should be taking but nobody answered me oo . Anyways I sha went and bought Pregnacare Original and Folic acid with Vit B12. I hope I am on the right track? If there are any other vitamins to add, please let me know. Its not that I'm self medicating o. I only found out that I was pregnant this past Saturday so I have been making inquiries about antenatal registration but I just want to be proactive pending when I will register which will be by this weekend by God's grace. I have a few questions to ask and pls, able mamas don't pass by without answers o

a. How do I officially register on NL preggy thread?

b. I got married on 29th Oct. My last period was on 22nd and ovu was 5th of Nov. Found out I was preggy on 19th. However, I read online that the pregnancy will be counted from the first day of my last period. By this calculation, I should be almost 5weeks now. Ejo, is it true? I feel its funny considering that I never even stay husband house reach 5weeks.

c. The other issue that has been bothering me is this. From 5th of Nov, I had this terrible cold and catarrh and I took Actifed tablets twice daily for 4days. On 11th of Nov, I had very terrible waist pain that I couldn't stand up. It was so bad that I feared I was going to get paralyzed and my village people that did not want me to get married had finally caught up with me . Kai, I had no idea it was implantation pain. On Sunday the 13th, hubby got Diclofenac for me and I took two tablets. By evening of that Sunday, I was having terrible heartburns (I have ulcer) so I thought it was caused by the Diclofenac I took. By Monday 14th, I bought Omeperazole and took one tablet. I did not take the Diclofenac again. I also only took the Omeperazole tablet once. By Saturday 19th, I did a strip and blood test which confirmed me preggy. Now my fear is if all these drugs I took will not affect my babies ( im praying for twins!) In any way.

d. Please who can recommend a good hospital for antenatal for me in Ago Palace Way? I dont want Festac cos I feel its far and I dont want to stress myself. I have gone to Outreach to make inquiries but do let me know if there are other good ones besides Outreach. I want to register this weekend.

e. Lastly, Please how do I reply someone's comment on this thread?

@Chanbaby; Oh yes, I want to believe it's normal for some of us to have this, since you're making a similar complaint now. I had that pain between our 28th - 30th week and I don't have it anymore. Never really figured it out for whatever it was tho. It graduated to being very painful. It made my walking, crooked, standing up after lying down for a while and changing positions in bed was serious gbege. Sometimes felt like it was in my jajaina and other times, the pubic mound. Asked uncle google and of cos, found weird answers; some sh*t about torn ligaments in the pubic area (pubic symphysis dysfunction) and one woman even saying it could make someone use crutches after delivery...#rollseyes

My sis also suggested it could be that the babe had finally taken the head down position...hmmph

Good news tho is that I'm relieved now. So I wish the same for you. Pele.

You will never believe what happened to me today. I still can't get over it. I went to the supermarket to pick something to eat before an event. As I was walking down the aisle, I noticed this woman starring at me. I looked at her and kept walking to the front counter to pick bottled water and gala.

As I picked them and turned, I found the same woman right behind me! I tried to show her some love, so I smiled & said "hi". Then I went on to get a canned coke. Can u believe the same woman followed me? I was getting a little bit nervous and mad because she was following me without saying a thing.

But I tried to stay friendly, I just said "hi" again. She finally responded and said, "I am sorry for starring but you look just like my youngest daughter . We just buried her two weeks ago" I felt silly for getting mad as I expressed my sympathy to her.

She said she was fine as she knows that her Child is with the Lord. She then asked me to do her a favour which I obliged. She said "I'm a bit sad that my child never said goodbye to me before passing on". She asked me to get in line behind her so when she's leaving the store, I should say "goodbye mum" so she could have some sense of closure. Though her request was weird, I however agreed to grant it. So as she collected her bags from the cashier and walked away, I said "bye mum". She turned and said "bye dear".

When d cashier calculated my stuff, she said d total was N18,750. I said what!!! Can u tell me how a N70 bottled water, N50 gala and N100 canned coke equals N18,750? She said "your mum said you are paying for hers too". My mum? I shouted. That woman is not my mother ooo!!!. I quickly rushed out just in time to see the woman approaching the parking lot. I ran after her and was screaming..."ex cuse me, excuse me!!!".
