The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has hinted that he may pitch his tent with another political platform in order bring into fruition his succession battle in the 2018 governorship poll.


Fayose stated this while having a meeting with the members of the Suppliers’ Association of Nigeria, Ikere Ekiti chapter on Wednesday.
“I don’t know the platform I will use for the 2018 election yet and at the appropriate time, I will tell you. We are still studying the situation. We have to play the game left, right and centre and whoever we are going to use and the platform, you will all be part of the process because party politics is about the people.
“You all saw how people sold their votes in Ondo State, I am confident that that will not happen in Ekiti. I am close to the people; you are the source of my strength. Even if it requires just 48 hours to any election, if I tell you where to go, you will surely follow me there,” he boasts.
Meanwhile, at a separate meeting with junior members of staff in the state civil service, Fayose boasted that he would repeat the victory he got in all the 16 Local Government Areas in 2014 when he defeated incumbent governor, Kayode Fayemi.
“The APC will be fooling itself if it thinks it will conquer Ekiti like it did in Ondo. Ekiti is a peculiar place and I am the man on the ground here. I want to assure my supporters and Nigerians that the APC won’t win a local government here in 2018, even if President Muhammadu Buhari moves down all the money in the Federal Government’s Treasury Single Account.
“Governor Olusegun Mimiko and Eyitayo Jegede must have lost in Ondo State, but that does not mean the people had voted rightly. In 2015, people clamoured for change and what have we got now? Nigerians are becoming poorer than ever.
“Today, I am the only one among the APC governors in the South-West. I am now like the nation of Israel surrounded by enemies, but I shall defeat and triumph over them.

Its obvious he's decamping to APC to avoid further persecution in 2018. He has made the calculation that with the whipping PDP has been receiving in recent Edo and Ondo elections, the only options left to him was either to join the APC, or face the Herculean task of winning a reelection with the brain dead PDP.

PDP is dead dead already, whether you stay on you leave, we only recognised one party APC!

Obasanjo has declared pdp dead long ago.

People like Fayose has done all they could do to revive pdp but failed, so it is time to leave the dead to bury their dead because no living being fellowship with the dead.

So let's see how Wike, Akpabio, Omokiri, Ekweremadu and his red cap people from the red soil region bury pdp. Already Sheriff and Makarfi are digging the grave.

So wrong, Nigerian political gimmicks follows no particular pattern, all thanks to Afonjas. I see OBJ, Jagaban teaming up soon under PDP... all it will take is APC making a costly mistake.
