.Mama died fulfilled. May she continue to rest in peace.

Meanwhile, Papillo, the big shoes you and JayJay left behind are too big for these boys to fit in, even as they have continued to deny some of us the chance to play professional football.

I have since moved on. I don go scul. Msc in view. I write stories. I have written unpublished novels. I have moved on to pursue other dreams.

But, my sons MUST play football!!

RIP mama.

.....Now when i take a look at the rusty corrugated roof in the background and I can also imagine the millions spent for this burial, knowing full well the worth of this great man. I wonder how much it will cost him to donate to roofing that school in his village with aluminium longspan roofing sheet.

If it is good enough to celebrate a big burial ceremony then a little support will also do. Igbos must as a matter of policy remember where they come from when they are in power not when they die they carry their dead body to bury there. The ancestors are not happy about that attitude of ibos. They are good outside but take a look at where they call home town you will know that they are worse than nomadic cattle rearers. They are the ones who will crown king in another man's enclave, they are the same people who will celebrate traditional marriage in another man's home town, they are the ones who will be claiming title and political office in another man's domain, they are the ones who will go and build house ontop of ocean and build roads, castles, industries in another man's land.

I am like wonderful is the igboland so horrible that the products from there dont want to develop it but will be quick to be opening their mouth to shout i am ibo yet you cannot point to what you have done to develop your land. Go and take a look at the village roads of all the so called men of timber and calliber bragging about in Lagos, they give themselves frivolous and funny titles and next time you see them you will understand.
When I was a kid my mother used to tell me charity begins at home but that is not what i see with the Ibos. I have tried so hard to find one reason why they are like this but i cant find. I know if they have that mindset like the yoruba's and hausa's to think home first, I make bold to say no where in Nigeria will beat the development that would have overtaken their land. Even the diaspora ones are even worse they have lost their identity completely. Honestly, the leaders of thought in igbolaand need to do a serious self rethink and appraisal. What is the mission and vision of the Igbo's, do they want to be a globally recognized people, then the time is now and it begins by the leaders coming together, eschewing hate, bitterness and ethnic rivalry and agree to network the igbo land. Build infrastructure and industry, secure the area and invite foreign investment. Think home first 'Ndi Igbo,' please I beg you in the name of our God and our ancestors.

But, my sons MUST play football!!

What happens if God purposely makes your sons academic geniuses of oxford, harvard, cambridge standards but average footballers, would you still force them to play footballer? Let's hear your answers...

All these my sons and daughters must do A and B were the mistakes some of our parents made that landed some people in our generation in the big mess they are today. In our days, it was - my son must go school and get big grades and do nothing else, even if the son obviously has other talents like sports etc...In our generation, it is that my son must play football, daughter must be serena williams, etc, even if the son or daughter is exceptionally intelligent and will do much better by actually reaching their best academic potentials..

We have to be careful so that we don't unknowingly make the mistakes of the previous generation in the opposite sense.

You see yourself? Amazing. Of all things, it is the scandal of people you are looking to read. Have you tried to arrange the scandal in your own life?

Anyway sha, this your post is a reminder that we all have scandals and thankfully, some of us are already taking steps to right the wrongs and improve on any weaknesses and scandals we have in our lives.

If there is no scandal create one for ur self ...Nigerians

In fact, I am really amazed...Social media has the potential to doom many people, even if it has its advantages too. May God help us.

Imagine people taking pleasure to read and perhaps rejoice at other people's scandal. When I first heard and thought that if one is succeeding, some others are looking to read or see bad things happen to the person, I thought it was a joke. But it's real and we all have the potential to be this gory, not only that poster, so we need to be careful;l with the thoughts we allow into our minds.

That's Naija for you bro. May God make the dream manifest on your son as you prayed. I have equally dropped my Aviation ambition but God willing, my sons or daughters shall.

Please read my response to the guy you quoted. Develop the talents of your children in the areas where they are mostly talented. Don't make the mistakes that some of our parents made...
