No all this does is check if it can be downgraded. You still need an hardware flasher for the downgrade and subsequently jailbreak.

It doesn't matter, if you've made the mistake of upgrading to OFW,you'll have to start the jailbreak process all over again.

when u say updating the ofw officially do u mean downloading from d ps3 if itz dat i didn't do it

What firmware are you on? Is it a custom firmware or an official firmware? And what version is it?

A jailbroken ps3 has a CFW installed, a non-jailbroken ps3 has an OFW installed.

Okay,just copy the downloaded into the root folder directory,it's been hell of a long time I did it but I'm certain that's it.

okay thanks. so far i've downloaded 608 of the best pc games from oceanofgames.com and don't have time to play them. still i want to download some for ps3 with the hope one day i will have time to play them all

I download at the office. Network is quite fast and I can comfortably download games of 60gb. All 608 games are saved in my 3tb and 2tb ext hard drives. I've installed and played a few but not much time. So you advise that I can easily install and play ps3 game files that I download over the Internet
