Brymo: I binge read it. Took me two hours. Nice she kept a chapter for the other woman. It should have been the other WOMEN. And pleased some women still smell like chocolate in bed. Talk about extra effort at being sensational. Some women smell like ugwu and stockfish in bed. 1 Like |

Hmnnn...females co me ting more than males....well, the truth is I guess women most times just don't know wat comes over them when guys keep hitting the right button, saying the right things.....but there is always a limit...most ladies get to this limit before them eyes open, few are smart to know better....others will choose to close their eyes and ears to the obvious warning signs and proceed into living with the consequences. In all, read all the books....watch all the movies...., we are all individually responsible for the choices we make. Tokes story is heard cos of her personality....thousands of others out there.....let's choose wisely peeps. 4 Likes |

stan241: You maybe right! Nobody prays to fail but most times you learn more when you fail than when you succeed. The book,i believe should be a guide to females who are suffering from low self esteem. |

From the first page alone I just knew it wasn't romance section. If it was romance section by now all those small small jambite boys forming mysoginist would have yabbed the op and toke sote ehn. Thank the heavens we still have sensible Nairalanders. 6 Likes |

@skarlett which toke is this? The big time runs girl from Unilag till present? Or which one? The 12 years spent with Maje was mutually bleeped. Dog meet bitch. How this gal refused to pen even one of her own sugar daddy tale is amazing. Long story short, Nigerian women are brought up to feel inferior, most have cheating husbands and boyfriends, most won't mind as long as the man has cash to spread. Have you heard anything from Dangote's wife? Or you think Dangote is a saint? Toke just wanted to live in parkview with the public dick but she was picking most of the bills and she ran I pity women sha, esp Naija women. 8 Likes |

sisisioge: Like every other Naija woman na, it's 7 women to a man, remember. If a man sticks to one woman, who would service the others? Besides, Anita won't even breathe, some side chicks have more class than the wives. I only pity this Majes children though, no father figure, birthed by a public dick rendering community service to women from all tribes. 2 Likes |

DipoDee: It seems you're privvy to the juicier details of the Ayanda and Makinwa family, thats cool but really this is a book review. I did state specifically that I'm not looking at Toke's controversial lifestyle but at the book and the message it passes across to women the world over. 4 Likes |

Young women should snap out of this bullshit. First of all: Who is Toke? Toke is a woman desperate for attention. She preaches "One night stand" gospel, the wild life and all sort of "loose life". She is a hypocritical lady who just want to get away with whatever she does. You can't just ignore all these. She's always lived an irresponsible life, her mental psyche doesn't fit into the world she wants. That's just the truth. 7 Likes |

Would rather read men are from Mars, women are from Venus about marriage or encourage ladies to read books on relationships such as act like a lady think like man by Steve, Why men loves bitches e.t.c rather than a nollywood writing story on failed marriage I wish her all the best |

uruba23: Women, no matter how intelligent, successful, spiritual, prude, exposed, etc will continue to fall for a man with mastery of sweet words.aka sweetmouth. Maje must definitely have a way with words. A true protégé of Greene. Make she no just mistakingly pick his call otherwise the rollercoaster continues.lol 2 Likes |

skarlett: Your last paragraph is so so true, and I think it's because such people are seen as strong and thus don't need help or advise when encountering challenges making them sink alone and eventually die a cold death (literally). Such is a common life situation where I find everyone running to me for help (of all kinds) and advise yet no one cares to know what I'm going through. 3 Likes 1 Share |

stan241: I think you shouldn't let the hype about makinwa and the book cloud your judgement about the book. I'm not a fan of hers. The only time I heard her speak, I wasn't impressed. but I will read her book. You see, the thing with books is that they are packed with knowledge. knowledge you gain from the author. and knowledge you've always had but never knew u had. u even gain knowledge by disagreeing with the author. you're not expected to nod ur head and concur with every line. I remember reading Obasanjo's 'my watch' and quickly realizing how self-absorbed and egoistic the man was. While i found the book to be a pathetic ego trip, I still learnt a lot about the man and how easy it was to stumble upon the presidential seat in Nigeria. Crucially, I learnt I was not as good a judge of character as I thought I was! 6 Likes 1 Share |

Toke is and always will be a runs girl. So all these while Maje was playing on and off with her, she never met someone else? Well, it's her book so she can write herself into any convenient role. The victim, the hopeless romantic, the pining loner, whatever rocks her boat. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Brymo:beauty degree eloquence and career success is not enough to hold on to a dead marriage espec if it's propelled by desperation, keeping up appearances and low self esteem However failure in marriage doesn't mean failure as a person or as a woman My take and conclusion Some women succeed in their respective careers and fail in their marriage Some suceed in their marriage but fail in their careers. Some others suceed at both but if you don't know the intricacies of what let to divorce don't judge because you have no right to moreover you're limited by information if you sit from afar to judge |
