Ipods take note and pay your tax. Don't come online crying that the lagos state government is targeting flattinos. Pay your tax now or face the consequences. Meanwhile lag govt should fix the roads...too many pot holes on our roads. |

Residents of Lagos State are being double taxed. Jagabandit started it and all his successors have continued to tax us double. We pay our taxes via our different companies and business. Lagos State government repairs or improves an existing road and collect tolls from us. Is this not double tax. Are they not suppose to use our tax payers money to repair and improve the roads, schools, hospitals, light etc. |

With the massive development ongoing in Lagos, I think lagosians shouldn't default in paying their taxes as at when due |

How will one be happy to continuously pay tax when he is alienated. The present LASG has put on a toga of eliticism by focusing on only well developed areas. Imagine some of our roads like Abule-Oshorun in Ibeshe, Ikorodu. No government presence; roads are horrible. All campaign promises jettisoned and our support during elections, forgotten. Please, please, we must learn to do things right by being fair to all. I have used more than 90% of my life in Lagos to pay tax but if government is denying me right to social amenities, they should forget asking me to pay tax |

Hello LIRS-Lagos Co-ordinator, This is for your notice ,all Private Schools in the State do not Remit appropriate tax to your office in the followings forms: 1.Over taxing of staffs and under payment of returns to the LIRS. 2.No tax certificate issuance to all staffs concerned, even after disengaging for the establishment. 3.Trades ,Artisan Likewise. NOTE: The likely culprits are Government personnel's, who own schools and businesses. Thanks. |

The LIRS should stop threatening tax payers. The problem with our tax system is that government over burdens those already under the tax net who are in the organised or formal sector of the economy, while the informal sector is not well managed. Most companies under fashola government began to comply to tax laws because Fowler used intimidation to achieve the then government fiscal budget. Most companies are now better aware of the tax laws and look at every possible way to legally avoid tax burdens through the help of tax consultants as result, less tax for the government. From experience the LIRS should seek to manage tax audit professionally and close up open audit. Any illegal move by the LIRS will amount to so many litigation which might outlive ambode's administration. LIRS should first seek to close all outstanding audit before use of intimidation. For me I have defeated them once in TAT and the court and I await them on the open audits. |
