Good day everyone,

I am new in the agricultural business and I urgently need information on the current price of palm oil in your area.

I was given 2 drums (200litres each) of palm oil to sell and I am based in Lagos. It was given to me by an uncle who wants me to sell it and use the proceeds to start something doing supplies of palm oil.

I want to know the price in your area so that I will know were I can sell it and get better profit. Please all your contributions will be so appreciated. Thank you

Nobody will buy in drum, it will be better and attractive if you can divide them in gallon that is 25littres. Now l dont know how much they sell and buy but they will buy when it cheap and sell when the price increase as people i the business always after capitap gain but if you dont mind taking it to the market at the palm oil section you should get people who will interested in buying if your price is ok by them. I am not pratically involve but it common around. Best of luck

Thanks for the contribution. I actually intend to sell with Jerrycans that's why I want to know the price. I am not used to the price per say but my uncle said its about 7k per 25litres as at now.

The way u sell to home users its different, 25litre might need to be topped to 30litres

Pls in palmoil business be careful because price fluctuate like crude oil unless you are the type who buy in bulk and store then when it is scarce you sell but if u are a daily buying and selling be careful of price fluctuation because you might invest your money and be knocked out frm d market because in every market their are secret which no one will tell and u can't read them frm books only experience keeps you in the business.i have palmoil for sale only for wholesaler call me at 08168322632

Yes you are right price of palmoil from second week of july was sold at 7000-7500,but frm august till current august which is today 9500-10,000 naira.
as of june it was sold 5500-6000 naira.if am wrong quote me right.

I helped a client of mine buy from Iguobazua village in Edo State. A keg was sold at N9700 and I was charged N300/keg to transport it to Lagos. The cost included the keg because if you have your own kegs, you will get it for N9200 or thereabout.
I will be there again on Saturday to make purchase.
