Honda accord 2004 i4 still having rough shifts from gear 1 to 2nd gear. And no codes both from transmission and the engine. I have changed the transmission oil although the last oil change was less than a year. And yes the oil level is within normal

Use the adjuster. Lock it if you do not want the them dimming when the external lights come on.

I have been able to adjust the dashboard light when external lights come on but that of the radio is still very dim whenever the headlight is up.

Is there something I'm not doing right Sir?

first there is nothing wrong with the cam shaft sensors, so do not look that way.

*Vtech actuators filters might be clogged
*timing might be off by a few degrees.
*Vtech actuator might be faulty.

Did you recently do some major engine work?
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Nobody: 9:12pm On Dec 08, 2016

Had similar problem, change the stereo panel, all those lights are controlled from there, don't repair as they'll end up causing more problems.

Cost me 7k, but you'll get it cheaper at Ladipo if u r at lagos, I'll advice you take it to an experienced technician that repairs care stereo, so that if it doesn't work or ur Audio panel starts behaving funny, he can easily return the panel. It just the panel not the entire mechanism. @ whyniel and jidabod the problem is from the stereo panel, you can always Google these things for answer, there is a do-it-urself YouTube video on how to fix the issue, that is if you are technically inclined, otherwise just change the panel.

where can one fing this fuel pump wires? i have had this problem of my car jerking, one mechanic eventually figured it was fuel pump wire and fixed it. the car worked very fine for months until i took it for repairs in another mechanic [he changed the worn engine seatings] obviously he might have tempered with the fuel pump wires cos the jerking has returned.

so once again, where can one find this fuel pump wire and what does it look like. picture pls.

in my case the part of the wires that got damaged was just at the part connected to the fuel pump, so it was just on top of it. my car's fuel pump; honda accord is accessed from the booth, raising the booth floor mat you see a cover held in place with screws you unscrew, remove the cover and the fuel pump head is visible with the wires. However I have some good knowledge about cars and how the operate because I have a thing for cars. if you are not certain of what you are doing I think you should go complain to your mechanic there are several possible reasons why your car is jerking.... I suppose you have solved it by now anyways.
