Students of LAUTECH were today Dec 9,2016 teargassed and chased with gunshots by the men of the Nigerian police during a peaceful protest against the 6 Months Strike which the school embarked on since June 9,2016. The ugly event which occurred at General area of Ogbomoso was recorded live on Facebook by a Facebook user.

The students blocked the road linking Oyo to Ilorin through Ogbomoso just to make their grievance known.

Protesting Lautech Students Fired at By Men of the Nigerian Police
The students of Ladoke akintola University ogbomoso in the early hours of today were shot at by Nigerian police force while protesting the closure of the school for about 6 months.

Scores of students were wounded while 3 has Been hospitalized as a result of bullet wounds.
The police who came with armoured tank were believed to have acted on the order of the Oyo state commissioner of police fired shots at protestants not only fired at those one the road but also entered the schools college of Basic medical sciences to beat and molest innocent students.
