There are ongoing alignments and re-alignments in the nation’s political space ahead of the 2019 general elections. BODE GBADEBO takes a look at the recent events within the governing All Progressives Congress (APC). Since after Friday, May 29, 2015 when the APC took over the mantle of leadership at the centre with a commanding majority in the nation’s parliament – both Senate and the House of Representatives, the ruling party had been sharply divided until last week over the leadership crisis in the National Assembly.http://leadership.ng/news/563479/re-alignment-why-pmb-apc-embraced-saraki

Buhari will do anything for power... "Abacha was not corrupt..." "...both the dog and baboon will be soaked in blood" "an attack on boko haram is an attack on the north" "muslims should vote only those that will protect their faith" A former head of state who sees no problem in inciting violence, defending corruption, defending terrorist organisation, and promoting religious intolerance is not worth being taken seriously in my books. Now that he has the power he so much craved for by hook and by crook, what has he done with it and how well has he fared? |

After this hardship, if Nigerians(especially Northern Nigerians) votes buhari again, then this country is a joke. In fact what I'm I even saying, if buhari comes out to campaign in 2019, he should know its a lost battle already.. Nairalanders, lets Vote.... 2019... Click like if you would vote for Anyother candidates except buhari... And share if u would vote buhari again.... |

Oyegun does not have political platform in its state talk less of zone, then president Buhari is popular though in Nigeria but that was before he crippled Nigeria Economy. He has that to work against him. Saraki is okay but maybe in his state, Not in Nigeria. So, coming together is nothing to worry about. NIGERIANs will triumph again |

Our so called leaders always put selfish interest ahead of national interests since 1960... Indeed, There was a country. |

Yet idiots will come in here and make it look like PMB is interested in fighting corruption. At the end of the day, Saraki will stand side by side with PMB campaigning in 2019. I don't know why Nigerians are easily deceived. PMB is as corrupt as the other stupid leaders we have had in the past. He will turn a blind eye to corruption when he has something to gain. |
| Re: Re-alignment: Why PMB, APC Embraced Saraki by Hanendez(m): 9:12am On Dec 11, 2016 |
Whether saraki bears the name "Saraki" or "Ibrahim" it can never change the fact the "Olusola" in his name will always give him out as a yoruba man. No Yoruba man from the north will ever get the golden fleece of politics. The core north and the fringe north syndrome will never be dislodged. Afonja was used. Akintola was used and dumped. Tinubu and 70,000 000 million other hordes of unsuspecting yorubas were also used and dumped in like manner last year. Saraki learn from history and don't repeat the mistakes of the ancestors. |
