Gambling has taken different forms in our contemporary society today. These include: 1. MMM and other Ponzi Schemes 2. "Baba Ijebu" 3. "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" 4. Lagos Premier Lotto 5. Federal Lotto 6. NaijaBet 7. Bet 365 Naija 8. 1960 Bet 9. Bet9ja 10. Merrybet 11. Surebet247 Etc. Allah(SWT) has warned us to against gambling. Allah(SWT) says: "O you who believe, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah ], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful." The Quran says: وَلَا تَمْنُنْ تَسْتَكْثِرُ “and bestow not favor in order to seek from others a greater return,” (Chapter Mudatstsir:6) Ibnu Abbass interpreted this verse: لا تعط عطية تلتمس بها أفضل منها ’Do not give something to seek for a better return.’ (See: Tafseer al Qurthubi, 19/67). And Interest, Riba, gambling is not allowed in islam.. We all know that.. There are lot of evidence guiding us against dis type of acts which I can't type here.
