Friday, there were reports online that soldiers of the 21 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Borno state, were on rampage over allegations of mistreatment and insincerity on the part of some of their senior officers. Yesterday evening, the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Brig. General. SK Usman, released these photos of the soldiers and their commanding officer.

Do soldiers and officers hug ordinarily without reasons? I doubted the stories of mutiny since news these days on Niraland are not truthful but the photos posted in the front page have me frowning. Those photos are counterproductive for they're affected, which smacks of PR. Still, I believe the military's rebuttals, perhaps they're just clumsy.
