The writer of that goal article is obviously an ozil sympathizer. Its easy to pull out stats to defend any player. I can pull out stats to defend Titus bramble if need be. |

@Kokaneprodigy Every thing said on that article, as far as I am concerned is true. In fact I have once on this board compared the effectiveness of Ozil and Alexis. Stating him to be more effective (then) despite a poor demeanor. But on that night at Etihad, tat particular night (at Goodison too), Ozil was poor. There are times when you need to really come to the party. A 10sec clip of Ozil walking lethargically did not tell the entire story, Ozil was walking almost the entire game as opponents went past him. |

So bcoz Ozil scored tap in versus Bayern in 2015, we should applaud him for disappearing in key matches in 2016?? I no even sabi who dull pass. The foolish Özil fan that wrote the article, or the dumb Arsenal fan that was claiming "Pple wey know ball don talk". Anyways, i no dey surprised sha. Na goal article. Only îdiots and mumu's take anything from Goal serious. |

Spy360:Was he poor cos he didn't try to win the ball or poor cos he didn't create chances despite receiving decent passes? I'll reiterate, Ozil plays in exact manner in games we won when he's off the ball and no one complains. why descend on him now? cos we lost? |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Nobody: 6:44am On Dec 21, 2016 |
Spy360 everyone can't just be chasing ball cos we are off it, one or two players have to be at some strategic positions to receive pass when the ball is won and hit on counter. Case in point the build up to his goal against Chelsea where he received a pass from Kos and he did his thing around Kante, the game against Ludo with the pass from Elneny and he did his thing around 3 players. Ozil didn't take part in ball chasing in any of those games nobody yelled cos if he was he won't be in the position to receive those passes. Against City We were busy hoofing the ball for reasons yet unknown and Ozil has to take the fall for that? |

kokaneprodigy:for ur mind u day read good sport news i dont know wat pple see in goal.com ozil is a good player but lazy nd its affect d team one way or d other... deal wit it, no one say hes not good he keeps disappearing in big games like a shadow walker so özil is untouchable in afc.. but u can say all sorts at ox and giroud |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 9:46am On Dec 21, 2016 |
kokaneprodigy:I get you perfectly well. Personally I do not expect Ozil to suddenly turn to a ball winner. I am not judging him in all his games ( he never chases the ball anyway), I am only looking at that particular City game (and Everton). Point: Ozil easily gets bullied against physical teams. He should try to overcome that. It reduces his quality somehow. With a man less chasing the ball, it is practically impossible to cope. City had 6 men in MF, we had 5. Take away Ozil, that's 4. So even when we win the ball, we easily get crowded out. That summarises it. That said, Wenger could have brought on a replacement at 1-1 or make Sanchez drop to MF and Ozil push upfront. |

kokaneprodigy:U are hopelessly stupîd. What has strategy or money got to do with someone who was strolling around on d pitch wen his team was losing? Especially wen u consider said player had contributed nothing for his team all game?? Logic has failed u on this one. And u're nothing more than a glorified simpleton chatting rubbish - the type that ll make ur children rejoice at ur funeral |

On this Ozil issue, I can understand that's his style of play. However, I expect his manager to either talk to him to adjust or be wise enough to sub him during crucial games. That is why there is a coach. |

For those of you throwing sticks at Ozil... (me inclusive). Ozil and Sanchez are joint second in the PL at winning the ball back from the final third. #UnseenStar Stars shine bright all the time. But you don't get to see them until its dark. |
