I also had similar final GPA as yours, mine was 3.43.. Of course it's painful considering how close it was and in your certificate they will only write your class of degree there, nobody cares about your GPA, it's damn Painful but I moved on.. If you're in a technical field, you can obtain some certifications and get some skills to boost your chances, also a lot of companies in naija still invite a 2:2 for job test/ interview, I had many of those back then, even if I couldn't get a job.. Also if you're considering a graduate school for your masters, you still have a very good chance, in the U.S nothing like 2:1 or 2:2, they consider your main GPA and most schools require at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, with your naija GPA, your GPA on 4.0 scale would be around 3.1, I'm sure about that, mine was 3.16/4 when converted to the 4.0 scale. With that and getting good scores in a standardized tests like GRE, you could get full funding(scholarship) for your graduate school, and yeah I did got one which covers all my tuition with stipend.
So don't think all hope is lost.
And yeah I didn't attend my convocation also coz I wasn't happy then. You can attend though, it doesn't make any difference. Good luck buddy!

Thanks so much, the truth is I don't feel like attending my convocation because I don't want to remember some memory; and coupled with the questions people Will be asking one though.

You know how it feels when u have no fun, live a cool triangle life and still grad with a cgpa lower than expected.

My guy wey live life, and I was busy telling him to stop having fun with girls, even get higher cgpa, when result show he told me "I ate my cake and had it", you wasted your school fees.

I have gotten over it, I don't care, I pray I have enough money by then and get a nice suit.

I thank God, in God we trust.

it is not my how many Fs ,it is by how many As and Bs ..I had 2fs and still made 3.78. He just didn't have enof As and Bs...that said OP nwayo!!

bruv, I think you're getting your calculation wrong..2:2 is not up to 3.0 on a 4.0 scale...even 3.6/5 is just 2.9 on a 4.0 scale boss.

I lived a cool spherical life *LOL*and grad with 3.79 biochemistry dept. you are destined for that result man! accept it and move on @FunnyDude

well at Op d irony of life is what happen and what u do next after a let down, prof wole soyinka came out wit 3rd class but he is a great person dnt let life beat u dwn,strategize a better 2mao. Am a 300l student tho.

Its not by how many Fs but rather how many As and Bs I had 5 Fs in my 5years in the University and still graduated with a 2.1

bro its very possible I had 3.43 with 2 semesters left. I just had to ensure my last 2 semesters gp where above 4.0 points.
So I think U have to maintain atleast 4.5 in two semesters

Stop hoping, work towards it. My roommate in school was on 2.2 till the last semester when he entered 3.51. All you just have to do is to score 4.0 and above for the remaining 3 semesters. Its possible

Truth is life is not fair. As for me I didn't regret any oo, if because I don't wanna miss both side so I attended most of UNN social events ranging from burnfire,welcomeback bash, pool party, night outing, clubing a times e.t.c But I also study very hard too ..U know stat dept and their wickedness. Most of my guys in dept didn't even graduate .
I've gotting myself a new suit to show my lecturer I ain't pained at all...I'm moving on to greater things.
U can pm me maybe we can meet at ekpo ref .

Why would I lie, I only had an F which I rewrote and bag a B grade in it...My final year is my best performance ever but don't know why I fell so low after everything.

I also had one F in 200level and yet I graduated with cgpa 4.3. Its not about the F's you have, but the A's you pack up to offset the F deficit. At the end of 200l I was on 3.9. Never got below 4.65 in the remaining 4 semesters and I ended with 4.3 as the cumulative

He is correct. Have u heard of WES ? They in charge of conversion GPA into American school all over the world. Going by their own,it is correct.

U go c course wey if u carry c 4 am, u go waka gv testimony 4 church. 4 uni, u go c ur padi wey teach u course wey u no understand & because of am, u go understand am write exam 4 dt same course & u go get A or B, ur padi wey teach u go get D, E or even F sef. U go c pple wey dey jack fire dey fail fire. U go write exam dey beat chest say u don murder am, when u c result, u go clean eye say u no dey c well. D kain grade u go c on top dt course go b lyk say u no even read am @ all. Also, u fit write course dey expect carryover or poor grade come c A or B. I 1ce wrote 2/3 pages 4 a course & got a c. I also 1ce almost finished an answer booklet & got an E in a course. Falz no b fool when im tlk "1st class no be who collect Xtra sheet". Person wey get dt kain GP wey op get carry an average of Bs & Cs in im courses.
