@Op how did you come up with the conclusion that UI has an edge over other universities as regards brilliant students, did you conduct any kind of assessment for students of other schools to generalize so hastily, a school could be the most preferred and yet not have as much brilliant students as other less preferred schools.


And as regards your question, I think it's impossible to give a genuine answer, as all our answers will be borne out of guesses sentiments and other reasons, except until a thorough assessment is conducted, then no concrete answer can be given.

Thats why i put opinion in the title...i did nt conclude as u said,rather,i only aired my view and as well expect ur opinion on the issue with reasons to back it up just like i did.

Thats my view on the issue likewise u,so i did nt conclude........my judgment is not based uni.rather,on the students found there...one or two out of every three waec best candidates yearly school there.

University of ibadan(for example,out of the three best students in 2015 WAEC,the 1st and 2nd are currently studying medicine and surgery in U.I.And it goes like that every year.one of them will be a U.I student)....follow by OAU...Then..Unilorin,....then..unilag...then...UNN....then...ABU...zaria.

Yet, Check ur VCs, check ur lecturers, check those that are in charge of the administration of ur school (if u're in any) and see if they haven't passed through these schools whether at their undergraduate or postgraduate level.. Old glory indeed.
Besides, where did u read or hear that students from these schools don't write Ican, Acca and other professional examinations? Huh?

what am saying in essence is that due to rigorous admission process in federal uni( he no easy to enter federal) we student in federal university believe other university students are inferior which is outrightly wrong! because 80% of student that choose federal skul does so due to their financial status ( federal skul is really cheap).to be realistic if there money most of us we be skuling in private uni or even abroad .
