[b]Like all reptiles, snakes are cold-blooded, or more correctly, ectothermic -- they cannot produce their own body heat; instead, they rely on the sun to heat their bodies. Because they do not rely on energy from food to generate body heat, snakes can survive on an extremely meagre diet. Some wait for months between successive meals, and a few survive by eating a large meal just once or twice a year. When they do eat, snakes swallow their prey whole rather than biting off small pieces. Many snakes have specialized jaws that enable them to swallow animals that are far larger than their own heads. Although uncommon, some snakes, such as the African rock python, have been observed eating animals as large as an antelope or a small cow.

With over two thousand five hundred species belonging to more than ten families, snakes are a large and successful group. They owe much of this success to their versatility -- snakes occupy habitat ranging from underground burrows to the top of the tree, to ocean depths as great as one hundred and fifty metres. They are found on every continent except Antarctica, and although they are most abundant in tropical areas, many survive in regions marked by extreme cold. The only places without snakes are parts of the polar regions and isolated islands, such as the Republic of Ireland and New-Zealand as opposed to places in Nigeria like Plateau and Gombe States in the Northern part where there is a large population of snakes. Read the post agin biko.

The reasons are:
1. Naija has hot tropical climate-----Source of heat and energy for snakes.
2. Naija has abundant forests and water bodies------Habitat for snakes
3. Naija has lots of bush animals--------Food for snakes

Got it?

Make the stated points bold in your original post, can't find them there. And naija is the only place with these 3 points of urs?

Check link for list of snakes in the endangered list. A lot of them are inhabitants of the rain forest...(with ur abundant forest, water bodies and plenty bush meat)

No offense, but ur moniker sounds like u're ''Lazy'' cheesy cheesy cheesy I there4 doubt if u did comprehend d post cheesy cheesy cheesy
Any way, the post says that snakes Survive in Areas with hot climate. They are also abundant in various habitats found in Naija and other places. plus, although, they don't depend on food 4 heat energy, they, like all living things, need it for survival. And Naija as well as other places meet these conditions. Note that the post said ''In Nigeria and Other Lands'' and not ''In Nigeria Only'' !

Got it?

Been trying not to say this bluntly but now I will.

Your article is useless with no proven scientific backing.
For your points to stick, u need to show that there are no extinct water snake species. You also need to show us that there are no extinct species in Africa, tropical rain forest, the Amazon etc. I will take your points serious when this is done. So get to work and stop speculating.
However I suspect that ur sole purpose of creating this thread is to listen to ur fellow snake crushers and eaters and continue jerking off on the euphoria. Dont worry, you will soon make front page and more of them will come... Good luck to you.

I hope u kno that animals placed on endangered list are animals on the verge of extinction
