am having a very big problem here with my Tecno H5 ( i know is a cheap phone on your side.) it doesn't detect network (sometimes might come up and disappear) so i took it to an engineer for repair today he told me is NETWORK SWITCH he said is gonna cost me 2k to get it fixed am confuse if he ill get ride of the problem after repair.cause 2k nowadays is not easy to get. |

Dunno what he meant by NETWORK switch... But if he meant that cable that connects the antenna of the phone to the panel, then he maybe correct... And yes it could cost as much as 2k to replace it... There's a cheaper way of fixing it, but it's like the Kazeem way of fixing phones... You use solder to assist the cable in doing its job, sometimes it's used to replace it entirely and sometimes, it could be used at one end... A good engineer should know how to do this but he won't tell you cos it ain't a recommended fix to the prob... While a bad engineer won't tell you but he would still do it and collect money for a new cable... If you have 2k,just pay the engineer and sit down with him while he does the job, this is to make sure that he actually replaces that cable... |

He's probably right of the phone don Old, But things dey cost woh, dat thing used to cost like 600-700 naira like 2-3 years back |

Best solution is to take it to a Carlcare centre and let their engineer diagnose it for you. All these roadside engineers may end up causing more damage to the device. |

i have the same h5 with the network problem...when ever i switch to 3g mode or auto,the service bar disappears but wgen it is in 2g only.,servicevgo dy very strong...i have change imel,flashed the fone...install custom rom but no change... |

GoodyOG:mine act this same way. wen i switch to 3g i will have network. but when switched back to Edge/2g the network just disappear totally. ve you repaired yours apart from flashing? i was planning to repair mine and see if it wil stop misbehaving. pls Reply |
