FUT Minna Expels 700 Students Over Poor Academics Performance by mezynaija(op): 8:58am On Jan 06, 2017

The Federal University of Technology, Minna, has expelled 700 students for various offences ranging from bad behaviour to poor academic performance in the 2015/2016 academic session.

The institution’s vice-chancellor, Prof. Musbau Akanji, revealed this today during the 30th matriculation ceremony of the university in Minna.

The institution matriculated 5,141 students for the 2016/2017 academic session.

Akanji said the majority of the students were expelled due to low academic performance and anti-social behaviour.

According to him, most of those expelled students did not score above 1.5 out of a possible GPA of 5.0.

Rubbish school. They also expelled me 3 years ago in my 2nd year in school for poor performance. And it wasn't as if my result was that bad o, my CGPA then was around 0.89

By the way, why can't I comment on Islamic related post on Nairaland without first declaring am Muslims and believing in no god/God but Allah? But Christian related post is free for all including atheist, Muslims and juju worshipers to comment? This is so not fair.

Most students don't read anymore.
They are more concerned with money making ventures.
Like, Blogging and other money making ventures.
Some into music. Many don't value education anymore.
The economy is to blame anyway.
The Government has to look into this.
