Those countries were never fully Christians, many still adopted paganism. The Copts of Egypt were minorities but they were persecuted by their own fellow Christian brothers. The Turks themselves were pagans originally before they reverted to Islam, read about the Seljuk Turks!

The Arabic inscriptions are known as "Ajami Script", it's in Hausa. The North have been writing with is scripts before it was replaced with Latin Scripts, even Yorubas were using Arabic Scripts to write.

Nigeria can't be Islamised ,never .Even when both the head d state and his vice were both Muslim it never happened it can't be now . Nigeria can't go the way of Turkey, remember both the South East and South South have almost 95% Christian, south west like 50 %.For your information even in the North almost 30% are Christian check Taraba,Benue,Jos,Adamawa,Nasarawa, part of Borno , Kwara, Niger ,Kaduna. Political check in the history of Nigeria no President have emerged due to pure Muslim support,let all these Muslim states vote for a candidate and others for another the one the Muslim voted for may not win . Check 2011 PMB vs GEJ . That's one of the reasons they dropped Bola to pick Osibanjo. I can tell you if all the Christian in North and South West voted for GEJ PMB will never be President.
