Carry Jonathan Detain every corrupt leaders whose conviction and arrest evidence is glaring Collect all they have Share with the poor (like Cuba) Secretly condemn them to death Create a black list Their families banned from political post for 50 years Hire westerners with impeccable records, fix the economy Employ youths It won't happen in a day but eventually once the dividend of democracy is shared among the masses, FG would have hit the reset button 1 Like |

corruption is something that you cannot curb out totally. it can only be minimised to the barest minimum. our problem in nigeria, is not only that our leaders are corrupt, but some of we the ordinary citizens celebrate these corrupt leaders. the only successful tool for fighting corruption, is conscience. if our conscience ain't clear, even if you send corrupt officials to the gallows, new ones will emerge. 1 Like 1 Share |

The solution was already in place. And they were all been set up by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. But most Nigerians were to blind to see d writing on d wall. U fight corruption wiv technology and strengthening of institutions. Technology- GEJ introduced the E -wallet fertilizer scheme; whereby Farmers get their fertilizers directly in so doing that cut most middle men who would av eaten d funds and nothing getting to d farmers. BVN- GEJ introduced this to cut of those managing more than one account using it for shady deals and it was use to detect criminals and ghost workers. TSA - to cut out leakages in accounts of MDA's but it was wrongly implemented by Buhari. IPPIS - this payment scheme was able to fish out ghost workers and transfer of funds using wrong name. CBT- introduction of computer based test for jobs and exams to cut out those that r cheating. All these technology will catch up wiv anybody even if it is GEJ's wife. Cos it's technology. Institutions- JUDICIARY, EFCC, ICPC, INEC, and otherr independents bodies should av no business wiv d executive. That's why GEJ made sure they were well funded and interfered wiv their matters. Not at anytime did he av a close door meeting wiv dem or dine with their leaders. And lastly by speeding up court cases against alleged corrupt people after properly carrying out investigations and having ur evidence; Not declaring someone a thief even b4 he is been tried sef or locking up someone while investigations or disobeying court orders. We av seen with the method of falsely accusing people without investigating people; wen u eventually go to court, u will loose because u av no concrete evidence other than made up stories. That's why till date, no one has been imprisoned by the buhari led administration. The amount of beneficiaries from PTF fund from 2009 till 2014 is the same amount of beneficiaries from 1970something till 2009. So where did all d money go to - GEJ, in his last presidential media chat. If only we gave GEJ another 4years. Corruption will av been reduced. 1 Like 1 Share |

The Government in Nigeria is the innocent mirror of the nation. The quality of government and its leaders in Nigeria, is simply a reflection of the collective consciousness of all the people. If the collective consciousness in Nigeria is disintegrated and negative, and people are not behaving in accord with Natural Law, then problems and corruption will be an unavoidable phenomenon of government. If, on the other hand, the collective consciousness in Nigeria is positive, integrated, and coherent, then the government will not be influenced by any negativity. If the people of Nigeria wish to be protected from corruption in government, then they must create an integrated collective consciousness. Positivity and harmony should be so strong and dense in national consciousness that negative influences cannot penetrate it. 1 Like |

Tribalism and sectionalism are the root cause of corruption in Nigeria. Tribalism undermines accountability. When Nigerians begin to place Nigeria before tribe and political party, the level of corruption will eventually become tolerable. Tribalism informs the peculiar condition in Nigeria by which one man's looter is another man's hero. In short, to root out corruption, root out tribalism. ‘How’s my old friend, Doctor Jude 4 Likes |

State legislature should take bribes from governor. Local government should have some measure of autonomy. Ability to recall our politician. Decentralize certain duties federal government does and let then be solved locally. |

Litmus: Please dont make me laugh. When Nigerians begin to embrace Nigeria before tribe? What planet did you drop from? We were all tribes long before Lugard made us all Nigerians. How do you expect us to to drop our individual ancestral heritage for a British creation called Nigeria? Might be ok with some, it wont be ok for others. |

RoyalBlak007: A major step is amending our corruptophillic constitution If possible, changing from civilian rule, its has not helped us. Animalistic approach to perceived corrupt individuals Removing the veil of tribalism; the fact that your kinsmen defaulted shouldn't mean he/she can evade punishment...a typical example is the James ibori and the people of ogharra community( also Deltans).. They wealth of the state was siphoned by this same man, some of this people are so wretched and living a ramshackle God forsaken life due to the uneven distribution of wealth caused by this same Ibori..yet, they say "Monkey no fine, but hn mama like am" Is that not madness!!! 3 Likes |

Pavarottii: You forgot to add that he successfully diverted Arms deal meant for insurgency to campaign for an election he ultimately knows that he can't win.. You didn't add that the EXTERNAL DEBT Inherited by GEJ was $3.94 billion Dollars and as @ 2014: $9.3 billion Dollars( He was just borrowing even when we made billions daily) what does that suggest to you..? You also should add that FOREIGN RESERVE Inherited by GEJ : $47. 7 billion as @December 31st, 2009b..as @ November 7, 2014 it wrinkled to $38.2BILLION Buhari is neither a saint, but pls, let us let sleeping dog to lie, quoting GEJ is like adding salt to a sore 2 Likes |

RoyalBlak007: 1. Ensure registration of all religious organizations, set a condition for leadership in these organisations. Constantly monitor what these leaders teach their adherents. I find out Nigerians are too greedy and that the greed is breeded in churches especially. This leads to corruption. 2. Restructure our education system and restore the dignity of teachers & lecturers. Our ethics and philosophy of life is built by these institutions. Our education system is so poor that corruption is indirectly thought in schools and colleges. 3. Equal the money of political offices with that of civil service if not lessen it. All political office holders should have served as civil servants and are highly commended for their services. They should also be allowed to go back to civil service if they wish, at expiration of their political appointments. 4. Create policies that closes avenues for diversion of funds, and be hard on anyone that steals money that belong to the public. 5. Sanitize the justice department, it is the hope for Nigeria. 7. Respect and give place for psycho therapist, and other very important practices that are neglected in Nigeria. 8. Place the constitution above all other and respect the rule of law. 9. Regulate prices for individual and private sectors. Clam down on companies or organization that takes advantage of the ignorant masses. 10. Pay me for this honest thoughts. 2 Likes 1 Share |

bettercreature: Size of Government is different from level of Government Size of Government means a situation where government does everything. When government reduces its unnecessary engagements , less taxes are collected. When less taxes are collected, government becomes less attractive to corruption due to less money Now to your question Do States in Nigeria have big government.? To me, it is yes. Rochas Okorocha introduced free education increasing the size of government. Remember Europe and US used to have corrupt governments Remember French revolution , Lenin revolution , Spanish civil war etc Government basic responsibilities are to give directions/targets and rewards those who move towards that directions/targets. Government duty is not to do everything as if it is God. 1 Like |
