Whynotthetruth:
Remind me when you are detoxified from your animalistic tendencies... because you are just one frustrated nitwit filled up with venomous poisons that can only kill the carrier.

I support JUSTICE and FAIRNESS to all irrespective of crime. And that's why even International organization fight Nigeria military for killing or malhandling boko Haram militants arrested because they still have right. That's why irrespective of how many souls an armed robber has wasted, he is still allowed access to court and lawyer. That's why MOST countries are insisting on expunging death penalty for whatever crime from their Constitution. NOBODY has established any case against these presumed looters except distortion of facts by media. Do you have access to counter claims and arguments about these cases as in court? Why hasn't EFCC and co won a single case with all the noise in the media for over 2 years nowhuh Rather, they have been debited severally and cases ruled against them...Doesn't that say something to your bitter soul?

Bitter souls like yours don't actually want justice or corruption free society(which is IMPOSSIBLE) because we are humans not angels but want to see their enemies or those they hate humiliated and disgraced unfortunately it won't happen and even if they succeed a bit, karma will come to do justice wink
I know how much is deducted from me for every transaction I make on a daily basis, I dont know how much you contribute in that national purse.

I know how much I lose from my income in corporate tax to the three tiers of government yet the road to my office is a wreck.

You may be a statistical representation of a jobless Nigerian understandably why you want fairness when a Governor wires 50m of my tax to a convict in the UK.
when a Madueke steals over $100m in broad day light, venomous and poisonous is an understatement, I want blood!!

You can tell me about folks who esponged the death penalty, when will you tell us about folks who have death sentence for misdemeanours?

Now get the fvck off my mention .

What is in the judgment for NNPC to study? Abi dem dey shame say them allow the heist to happen?

With this statement from First Bank, it's sure nobody will come forward to claim that money. Thank you President Muhammadu Buhari, the true leader and champion of the common man.

I'm sure if GEJ was asked to react to this shameful stealing by Diezani, he'd probably say "I don't think it's possible for Diezani to steal $153 million dollars like that".

The thieves who worked with GEJ surely

enjoyed his leadership that allowed them to loot as they liked.

GEJ was an accidental president indeed. Under normal circumstance, he cannot win a contest to be a class captain in a primary school.
Chaii. Yet he was a class rep. I agree with everything unless that last paragraph

Whynotthetruth:
cheesy Don't them...These guys brightalo17 , jpphilips etc are hypocrites and sadists who sincerely aren't keen in any corruption fight but humiliation and annihilation of Jonathan crew that they have been programmed to hate...I will take them serious when I see articles from them criticizing the foreign currency racketeering ongoing under Buhari at detriment of Nigeria economy or grass cutting in arid region for millions or unaccounted funds from NNPC or IDP missing funds or Aisha Buhari sleeve in our foreign commission or secret recruitment into slush agencies or such other anomalies as championed by this administration of liars and sadists...
What is this one ranting about? the woman steal money ....I am not from the north I am from the east and the money she has stolen is too much for crying out loud, tell me otherwise.

if you think I am here to defend Buhari or Bro Goodluck Apc or Pdp you're on a wrong lane.....God punish any government official stealing our money and also punish those that is here to defend them based on party or region.

corruption of any kind is not accepted by me be in PDP or APC so read my lines before making nose in the name of typing .

Whynotthetruth:
1) Saying there's no money in agriculture compared to others is height of ignorance...We stopped hearing billions missing in that sector because it was cleaned up professionally by Jonathan that most of choose to hate. Kindly check out how many billions were lost to fertilizer scam under Obj alone...and you will appreciate what Jonathan did in that sector which Buhari has almost scattered again as you guys cheer him on...

2) I hate dealing with hypocrites. 99% of those screaming corruption in oil sector don't understand how that sector functions. And they were among those including Buhari and Tinubu who protested against cleaning up of that sector by Jonathan through deregulation. So why applaud buhari for same today? Nigeria should stand up to him and ask him why he fought such policy back in 2012 when he knew it will benefit the country. Why did he put his political ambition above Nigeria survival? Why is he celebrating same subsidy he denied and used to tarnish Jonathan image?

3) Buhari is not a journalist but he censors what goes out to the media...Agencies under him chief among is EFCC dish out propaganda DAILY. Where are those billions recovered from farm, septic tanks, houses etc? Have they won a single case in court? Instead they bullied some people(eg media houses) into returning funds meant for jobs done by them...Today, how much did they budget for same purpose in 2017 appropriation bill? And nobody is asking question. If Buhari said he cleaned up anything in civil service after the marvelous job done by Jonathan through NOI in that sector; then ask him why the recurrent expenditure hasn't reduced from what he was handed over? ...

4)In security, join the campaign to challenge Buhari to allow for OPEN trial for Dasuki , let's know who's lying and who isn't. Why are they delaying his court appearance? Shouldn't Dasuki be the one dodging court and not Buhari if they had enormous evidence as dished out in the media against him?

5)What corruption is on in finance sector bro? I ONLY know about foreign currency racketeering which is going under Buhari. Do you know how much they make daily? And you guys applaud him?

6)I support fight against corruption using justice and fairness to all as hallmark. If Buhari believes Burutai who earns far less money than Diezani can afford double mansion in Dubai; why can't he believe too that mansions of Diezani were legitimately acquired? Double standard is corruption too bro...

7) Finally, NO country in the world can end corruption entirely but can be reduced through appropriate institutional framework not what we are doing now under Buhari. Can you name a single sector where corruption has reduced under Buhari since he started making noise? But I can drop sectors where corruption were reduced under Jonathan without noise but through adequate institutional framework set ups. That's what Buhari should have built on and developed it the more not what we are doing today. Thanks
Long story short if Burutai or Deziani e.t.c are corrupt may God punish them for enriching themselves and leaving poor masses broke.

Common sense should also tell you that you don't pass judgement without hearing from BOTH parties in a case especially when accuser has been known to be a sadist and chronic liar ...

JUSTICE & FAIR HEARING are all parts of God's law and Nigeria Constitution...so what's your point? I am against looters but I am also against selective justice...

“In the case of Col Sambo Dasuki v Federal Republic of Nigeria the Ecowas Court ordered the defendant to
admit the plaintiff to bail pending the determination of the criminal cases pending against him at the federal high court and the federal capital territory high court.

“As the federal government could NOT JUSTIFY the prolonged detention of the criminal suspect the court awarded N15 million damages in his favour. Since the judgment was delivered on October 4, 2016, the Buhari administration has not adduced any reason for treating it with contempt"

Can you remember all the billions and millions which Buhari and APC told us in the media that this man stole with his acolytes? Ask yourself why weren't Buhari and APC able to prove all those accusations in court? And see they were sanctioned now to pay the same person 15million again for damages...Learn to listen to BOTH parties... Support JUSTICE and FAIRNESS because some day you become a victim of such brutality and crude selective justice cum humiliation of opponent...Thanks and God bless you wink

Jonathan, Diezani named in Italian ‘kickback’ probe
By AFP | 09 January 2017 | 5:18 pm

Italian prosecutors have alleged that Nigeria’s former president Goodluck Jonathan and his oil minister received kickbacks as part of a $1.3 billion deal involving oil giants ENI and Shell.
Court documents filed late last month in the city of Milan and seen by AFP outline a case against 11 people, including senior executives from the two oil majors and the companies themselves.

Jonathan, who left office in May 2015, and Diezani Alison-Madueke, his long-time petroleum minister who was also the first woman president of OPEC, do not feature on the list.

But they are alleged to have played a central role in the deal, which saw ENI and Shell make a $1.3 billion payment in 2011 for an offshore oil block in Nigeria.
No formal charges have been brought and the parties usually have 20 days to respond to the conclusion of the preliminary investigation report before any formal prosecution.

ENI chief executive Claudio Descalzi and his predecessor Paolo Scaroni met Jonathan “in person” to thrash out the deal, which also involved former British intelligence agents working as advisors for Shell, it was alleged.

Prosecutors allege ENI and Shell executives worked with Nigerian businessman Dan Etete, who was oil minister under the military ruler Sani Abacha from 1995 to 1998.

Etete’s company Malabu was the “fraudulent holder” of the OPL 245 block, according to the court documents.

After talks in Milan and Abuja, the block was bought illegally by the oil majors in contravention of domestic laws, “without competitive tendering” and with “full, unconditional exemption from all national taxes”, prosecutors said.

A total of $801.5 million was allegedly transferred to Etete’s Malabu accounts, of which $466 million was converted into cash in Nigeria and used for remunerating government officials, including Jonathan and Alison-Madueke, prosecutors said.

A further $54 million was withdrawn by Abubakar Aliyu, whom prosecutors describe as an “agent” of Jonathan.

The beneficiaries of the money went on a shopping spree buying “property, aeroplanes, armoured cars,” prosecutors added.

– ‘No basis’ for prosecution –
ENI and Royal Dutch Shell have both denied wrongdoing.

Shell said in an email: “We are aware of the investigation and we hope to show the prosecutor that there is no basis to prosecute Shell.

“Shell takes this matter seriously and is co-operating with the authorities.”

Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has also recently pressed charges in connection with the same oil block deal.

Charges were “filed towards the end of last year”, EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren told AFP, without elaborating.

Anti-corruption campaigners view the case as a classic example of graft in Nigeria but also an indication of the difficulty in tackling the problem when it crosses international borders.

Alison-Madueke is facing a flurry of graft allegations in Nigeria and was arrested by Britain’s National Crime Agency on suspicion of bribery and money laundering in 2015.

She has denied the allegations.

Last week, the Federal High Court in Lagos ordered Alison-Madueke to temporary forfeit $153 million that was allegedly syphoned from state coffers.

For his part, Jonathan has denied that his government was corrupt and contested his successor Muhammadu Buhari’s claim that he inherited a “virtually empty” treasury.

Buhari secured a historic first win for an opposition leader in Nigeria’s history when he defeated Jonathan in presidential elections in March 2015.

He campaigned on a platform to target endemic corruption and has said “mind-boggling” sums of money have been stolen from the public purse.

His government has arrested a series of high-ranking officials from Jonathan’s administration on corruption charges but few have been convicted.
