So your god promised an occupied land to someone without making provision for the people already there... If someone entered a land occupied by you and killed everyone on it and took over it... Stop disgracing yourself shamelessly on the www. No Christian is allowed by God to do what was done in the Old Testament as we are not under that dispensation. That aside, what was done then is far different from the callousness and criminality of terrorism carried out under masks and in hiding.
I'd list them for you if your brain fails to still process. Israelites didn't take laws into their own hands to kill but it was the work of soldiers. Soldiers didn't go about killing all gentiles or unbelievers. They meted out judgement on the inhabitants of Canaan whose cup of iniquity was full, according to God. They didn't go blowing themselves up in Babylon or Egypt or Assyria or Rome. They didn't kill in secret or hide under masks looking for virgins in paradise. Life was easy for them, they didn't take it personal or tie the world to their chest like you. They didn't abuse or misuse power like you would if given the chance. You and other atheist are potential terrorists and hazards, only that you lack opportunity or platform. Again, it has been established and is clear enough that Christians are not allowed.Evidently,it is frowned upon now whoever may do it. Also, the mode of operation is not the same like the OP assumed or estimated.
See it this way : Action 1 is breaking a glass cup. Reaction from you if an elderly or weak person did action 1 would likely be different to if a young or careless person did the same action. Same action, same you, different response. You're an hypocrite i suppose.
Action 2 is detaining a thief for 3months. If you did action 2, you would probably be prosecuted as a criminal but if the police station did the same action, they'd be commended. Same action, same thief.
Point is that even when you think the actions are the same, the consequences and reactions are not necessarily the same, that's the reality of life. Life is not a set of equations or a physics laboratory.
