Hi All,

Has anyone successfully used this service in Nigeria to receive money from abroad? http://www.visa.com.ng/ng/en-ng/personal/features/visadirect.shtml

Visa Nigeria says it should work with all banks, but my GT Visa Debit card is having issues receiving the funds.

Is your Debit card denominated in naira? And what currency are you trying to receive

Yes I have.
I have used it to receive money directly from a foreign broker.

I think the logic is that, since I used the same VISA Direct card to pay, all they needed was my Card Number. They didn't even ask me.
I just waited for a day or 2 and I got paid.

Note that, the VISA Card is denominated in USD and wasn't issued by a Nigerian bank.

Hope this helps anyone in future.
