Hello farmers in the house, please I need more advise. I saw the first egg in the pen when the birds are 19 weeks and 4 days and since then just only one has been laying consecutively for four days now other refused to lay. They will be 20 weeks by January 15th 2017. Please what can I do.

Where did you get your birds from? Did you raise the birds from day old or you buy point of lay birds?
If the birds source is good and you follow the normal procedure then you have nothing to worry about your birds will still lay and again if you are practicing deep litter system please provide the birds with a laying nest.

Don't freak out yet. I got my first egg at 19 weeks 4 days..2 eggs joined at 20 weeks 4 days. Another joined at 21 weeks. At 22 weeks I got 22 pieces and now i calculate in crates. Just be patient. Do ur daily and monthly deug and vaccine routine

The birds are zartech DOC and all vaccinations were given. Well, they are 20 weeks and 3 days today and 13 of them are laying now.

My birds are now 21 weeks and 4 days today and out of 245 I got 50 eggs today. Please is this still okay or should have been more than this ?
