I've had an off/on relationship with Airtel for years now. Started to use it when it was Celtel, dumped it for MTN, came back to it in 2012, ditched it again in 2015 and went for glo. After a brutal divorce from glo, I went back to airtel early last year solely because it was more stable than glo and mtn in my area. At first, I was glad to get back with my ex, everything flowed even though she was expensive to maintain but things went down hill from October last year and despite getting multiple assurances about the immediate resolution of the problem by customer care agents, nothing changed. Fast forward to now and things are getting worse as each day goes by. What could be the problem with the network?

What is the problem gangan. You didnt state that? Is it being expensive to maintain or what? I am not understanding

I've noticed fluctuations in network service on airtel as well, though I stay in a relatively rural area. I am often tempted to blame it on power supply. I have observed that Telecom companies often rely on diesel generators to power their masts. Diesel is now more expensive. This maybe a silly guess, but in a developing town such as mine, it could mean much. Its just my guess though.
