Yes, you can't use ATM outside naija for now.

Change your money to dollars here, then revert to Cedi when you get there. They have aboki.s too.
My $100 exchanged for GHc398 in december, but that was at the airport.

Going by road or flight?

Come back by road please and take shorts from border to border. It will afford you an opportunity to enter town to do some shopping on the way.

So from Ghana take AFLAO. (Togo border)

Enter the Igbo market for some really cheap stuff.

From Aflao take Ilacoundji (wrong spelling?) That is Togo/Benin border.

Here na so so apples left and right. Get some good apparels here too. All at the border.

Next is Seme border. But if you get liver drop at Cotonue market for some mind blowing bargains before proceeding to Seme border.

SEME BORDER ( This is Naija!)
Walk straight across the border. I repeat, Straight to the vehicle taking you to Mile 2!
Bad boys everywhere here, including the customs officers of both countries!

Good luck!

The cards are not working again, so carry enough CASH that will sustain you throughout.
As for the exchange rate, the last time I was in GH, it was 8GHC to N1000. very bad indeed..

Postscript: Please bear in mind that Ghana is an expensive country, and put exchange rate palava made the matter worse, so to avoid being stranded, better go with plenty money, or let me say enough money
