OK. Do you have an idea of when it's ceiling will be reached?
Secondly, it is a flagged occupation. Isn't it likely that it will be removed from the Sol by July?
ET might even get filled up by April or may.. Currently, you need like 70 points to stand a chance this fiscal year. No one knows if it will be removed. Many occupations have been flagged for over 3 years now. There is no certainty, but in my opinion, it will still be there.

Vetasses doesn't require English for assessment, so if you use the first page of this discussion to calculate your points you may discover how qualified you are...

Hi all,

I want to enquire about the PR visa scheme. I have read majority of the pages but couldn't find the answer I need. I studied biomedical science in Uk (equivalent to medical laboratory science in Nigeria) and I graduated last year. AIMS requirements for assessment says proof of claimed work experience should be submitted with application. So far, I have my ielts with a minimum of 8 in each component - 20 points, my age - 25 points and my education 15 points, but I don't know if it can be classified as 15 without assessment as I read you have to take the exam to get full points or something of that sort.
I don't have any work experience in my field yet, so I don't know if I can still proceed with assessment, I need some help with this please.

Undertake Skills assessment by the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS). This is the rate limiting step for skilled migration to Australia as a Medical Laboratory Scientist http://www.aims.org.au/documents/item/88

Usually done in two stages:
A) Paper based assessment; you will submit your certificates and job references to AIMS for evaluation. At the end of this stage you will be classified as an MLT and invited to write the AIMS professional exams.
B) The AIMS professional exam takes place in March/September each year in several cities around the world. If are successful in this exams, then you are ready for STEP 4
For more info about this exam, course contents, sample questions or venues, please view this link: http://www.aims.org.au/services/aims-assessments/medical-laboratory-scientist

GO TO THAT SITE U WUD UNDSTD BETTER ALTHOU WORKING FOR 20HOURS IN AWEEK IS PART OF THEIR CRITERIA

Amii131,

VETASSES does not require English test for assessment.

Two states currently sponsor pharmacy technician, Western Australia and South Australia.

It is on schedule 2 on Western Australia's list which means, you must have a job offer before being invited or sponsored.

While on South Australia's list, it is on special conditions, which means you must have at least 75 points or have a family member in South Australia who have lived there for at least 12 months to sponsor you, before you can get sponsorship from the State.

You can't be answering this question when info plenty on the thread. You need to read

Which state do you have relation? You need to do your skills assessment first before you can move forward.

After putting in your EOI, you get the ITA; then you can frontload your medicals before submitting your visa application.

If you are in Lagos, seems IOM Clinic at Isaac John street is a quicker option now for medicals, as you can get the x-ray done at same location.

For PCC, make sure you don't pass the 5k/head mark (infact 4k/head- forex rates no dey affect PCC).

Please do you have an idea how much they bill children. Thanks for this info. Every kobo counts in this season.

IOM is the bomb. They are very organised and friendly. Paid N42,800 for myself and same for wifey. Xray join for the money ooo. Not so with Fatayi Williams where I think there is an extra charge of 5k for Xray plus the stress of going to St Nicholas. Meanwhile, IOM is along Isaac John Ikeja while the other is on the Island.

You can alternatively use monumaemeze@iom.int

Thanks for this info. Please do you have an idea on the bill for children?

Children don't require PCC; it's for persons aged 18 years and above.

However if you meant how much medicals cost, I believe Jamson can help with a current cost at IOM; I did mine at Fatayi Williams around April 2016- I assume prices would have changed since then.

Thank you Jukeblam,Segun and Jamson for all your response they are all well noted.@EOI not yet Jamson PTE in the pipeline gunning for a 20.I wont hesitate to ask for further guide.

jamson:

Congrats on the positive assessment! I assume you have submitted EOI by now. If not, please join the queue sharply. Don't joke with ur 20 pointer PTE if it is needed. Medicals can be done ahead if you are sure ITA will arrive within a year of health clearance. As for PCC, just go Alagbon, na from the gate dem go start to dey drag u for patronage. 5k go do per head. All the best with the rest of the journey.

In addition, when children over 2 years are involved... Please pick a day between Monday and Wednesday because there's a test you will need to come back for the review after 2 days. If you go on Thursday, they will ask you to come back for the test on Monday as they don't operate on weekends.
