This is a national tragedy. I expect the government to declare some days of national mourning. Could it be an avoidable failure of due diligence and intelligence gathering on part of the military? Is it that the Nigeria Army did not have adequate information on the locations of IDP camps in Nigeria? This incident should be properly investigated to forestall future occurrence of such errors.

I am also worried how we play politics with disasters and the actual number of casualty in Nigeria. Since the incident occurred, the media has been turning out conflicting figures.

Nevertheless, our gallant soldiers should not let this incidence discourage them from pursuing the war against terrorism to a logical conclusion.

OK. Just happened when she was supposed to be in that region and would have possibly visited an IDP camp.
People so much mistrust this government. Even oby did not agree to be ferried to the northeast without Lai mohd on board the flight to avoid stories that touch.

This is such a disaster. This is making the rounds because it's an IDP camp. How now do we believe that all those pictures of dead bodies said to be bh are not innocent civilians bombed in their homes and then accused in death of being bh without independent sources confirming such fire fights.
In other climes, folks will tender their resignation tonight but in Nigeria, a twitter condolence is all that is required and life goes on till the next IDP camp is bombed to oblivion. Afterall, government wants to close the IDP camps by fire by force

Yes. The Nigerian Military accepts total responsibility. It wasn't intentional. There was an intel of approaching BHT so the military decided to send in ground troops with Air cover. This is surely a bad news.

Killing Innocent civilians can't be intentional.
A lot of people have lost their brains to religious, tribal and political sentiments.

After 2 days in the jungle / military camp, Aunty Oby is now a military expert.
That is not to say that I do not agree with her.
