Added gas and oil and it fixed problem 1,AC is back to mortuary standard
For the 2nd issue, the Air filter is still quite new

After changing the front engine mount, the car still vibrates, kazeem says its not the rear engine mount thats the problem. As for the issue I raised concerning my power steering, the new Kazeem said its not the Rack but the steering pump AND he cant give guarantees on steering pumps because the ones in the market are not toks but repaired/refurbished.
Any takes?
2007 DC V6

I use same car as you and I once experienced similar vibration which I had to change my engine mounts but the problem still persisted.
Thereafter, I noticed my transmission oil was so dark which my mechanic recommended a new gear box but I decided to keep flushing the Transmission with Conoil ATF (1k /litre) until I got a clear pink color before the last replacement with Honda DW1. Right now, it's as smooth as it can be. I honestly don't know if it can work for you.

I checked the ATF about 2months ago and it was pink but I'll check again today to be on the safe side.
Thanks alot

Good morning sir, I wish I had found your thread earlier, I would have paid you a visit with my Honda accord 2007 4 plugs while in lagos. Anyway, I will sure visit once I return to lagos next month.

I am currently having excessive vibrations on the dash board. I guess that's engine seats right?

Secondly, I have never experienced overheat issues till few days back when a friend used the car to go out and called to tell me the car overheated and smoke was coming out of the bonnet. He checked the radiator after it cooled down and said the water was low. I was surprised about this as I always do routine checks on my fluid levels every weekend and the water was topped the previous weekend.
We took it to a mechanic (I never trust mechanics in Benin and always wait till I return to lagos to do maintenance and repair) he said the radiator has "expired" and we should change it to a double cell for 22k. I asked if I can come back this weekend, He advised I can manage it for the week by always filling the water level every morning.

But i noticed something yesterday, the car temperature remains constant without ac, but whenever you use ac during the hot sun it starts rising after about an hour or two ., switch off the ac and the temperature falls back to normal within 10-20mins. Also it remains constant with Ac in the morning and nights, no temperature rise.

What's your advise sir? Do we have to change the radiator or It just has to do with the ac or something

I need a session with you sir when I come back to lagos, I love quality services and people who know their onions and so far you seem so from your replies on this thread.

on behalf of the thread starter luvinghubby I donate my sef cheesy

Replace ya radiator in in benin. Double cell will have no issues, ensure the thermistor at the base of the radiator is transferred from the old one to the new one.

In addition to replacing your radiator ASAP, as advised by Gazzuzz, ensure you fill your radiator this time with COOLANT ONLY. Most coolants available in the market already come pre-mixed with water. Adding water over-dilutes it. Total coolant is not bad at all... Honda Genuine type 2 coolant is the standard though.

Btw, I suspect you had pockets of air in your cooling circuit when you had the overheating experience.. Plus, water has a lower boiling point compared to coolant. You can only expect a system filled with water to have some evaporation and sooner or later, overheating!

It is available, it is really expensive, I have only seen it in 4liter packs, but it is possible there are 1liter packs. Last time I checked it was 18,000 for 4liters.

I bought 2 'gallons' (apprx 4Ltrs) of Honda genuine type 2 coolant (blue) from luvinghubby in Lagos over a year ago. I can't say if it's available now, but I suggest you contact him. 08029255299

I think it was 13k each then.

Cheers!

I changed the 2 front tires of my Honda Eod 2003 recently and when I drove the car to do some wheel balancing and alignment, my mech advised me to change the thirods. Please can someone tell me the cost? I want to be sure my mech is not overcharging me.

Hello gazzuz...luvinghubby..etc...
Please I recently changed my ATF with DW1 original atf...I use a Honda accord v6 2008 sedan.
Prior to changing it i noticed my transmission wasnt shifting smoothly enough..especially from park to reverse and reverse to drive...and while accelerating it seemed to pause for a fraction of a second before changing to the next gear.
All this might not be noticeable to the average driver but I'm very observant (having learned the hard way from previous vehicles I owned).
The point is I changed the transmission fluid with the dw1...I used 4 litres(my mechanic changed the ATF with the engine cold..saying it should not be warmed up...I don't know ow about that)...anyway..there doesn't seem to be much change...plus I noticed the ATF level isn't gauged despite using 4litres with no obvious leakages...
Can someone please advise me on what to do...
Thanks

Help!!having a hard start issue...so far I hv changed the the kick which was damaged as a result of too many attempts to start the car. After replacing the kick my mechanic managed to start the car by jump starting it with another battery and took the car to his workshop. o want to know how much is kick sold in the market and the sensor cos I know I allowed my mechanic to rip me by buying the kick for 15k and sensor for 10k which I later confirmed to be much lesser in price than the above.

Is Total Coolant still in the market? I have searched from Jos to Abuja to no avail

please how much is the cost of Honda EOD 2003,power steering pump. is it advisable to get a new one or Tokunbo.
My steering gets stiff when I making a turn, my Mech say I need to change the power steering pump
Budget like 15-18k for a new pump. But before then watch some YouTube videos on Honda power steering pump o-ring replacement. I did when I had same issue and ended up spending 200naira only for a particular o-ring instead of buying a new PS Pump for 13k then.

It's in the market, but it's availability appears seasonal.

My personal theory is this: It is less readily available in dry season, when cooling system issues are likely to be aggravated due to hotter weather. So, many more people buy 'radiator coolant' in an attempt to solve issues, thus creating relative scarcity.

There are certain main/mega Total stations, where these products are delivered in bulk quantities. Target these stations, rather than the minor outlets. They are usually more likely to have.

If the main stations don't have when you check, you can get a contact number to make inquiry from time to time. Once they take delivery, go and buy.

It used to be #350 per bottle. Bought it for #400 about 2months ago though. Filled up a drained '04 accord cooling system with about 7 bottles of the coolant.

Nice info. I have been looking for it in their Mega stations for the past 4months especially in Abuja still no show. I decided to buy Abro(4Lts) but could not use it cos of negative feedbacks from those that had used it.
I wouldn't mind getting 10bottles via you since it seems you can still lay hands on some. We can make arrangements if you could help.
Thanks

Hi please could someone help me clarify something I just noticed about my accord 2004 i4 engine.

During regular servicing yesterday I was at the workshop when another customer with the same type of car came in. I just saw a difference in our engines and I would like to know why my own engine is missing it.

On the right side of my engine directly adjacent the inlet manifold my own engine is missing an inlet or outlet line going directly to the hose taking air from the air filter.

The below picture is myengine and the top is the other customers engine. I'm pointing to the places that's different on our engines. I also noticed a bolt used to block an opening on my air hose too as seen in the pictures and this was done when I installed a new engine a while back. Please could I know the use of this apparatus and why my engine is missing it's own?

I changed the engine a few years back by the way. Thanks
