gurus in the house pls help oo. I bought a new Gionee M5 mini from play station Mushin . But I was adviced to upgrade the phone from one section of the building. I got there, the guy said it's #3000 to upgrade the phone but that a lot for a new phone. Pls what are the advantages and the disadvantages of upgrading a new phone ? your opinion is highly needed |

Amsayvour2016:It depends on the type of upgrade they want to carry out on your device. Things to ask them. 1. Ask them if they sold the latest os version of that device. 2. Ask them if it is OTP upgrade. You can do that by yourself. 3. Ask them the main purpose of the upgrade. I do flash/update phones have never charged anyone up to 3k for upgrade of an android device. Maybe they just want to take your money. |

Abudu2000:goto your settings Click on power Disable fastboot Switch off your phone Switch it back on holding the power and volume down button simultaneously. A splash screen called bootloader will appear On it you will find out if your device is s-on or s-off It should start like this **locked** Blah blah blah blah S-on or S-off To move out of the bootloader and reboot your phone if your a noob. Underneath there are a couple of options Bootloader Recovery C-ud etc You can select any one by using the volume key up or down and the power button to select U can goto bootloader ,select with power key U should find power down (switches off your phone from there you can simply switch on normally) Or Select recovery A caution sign will appear with a phone image infront Press the volume up and power key simultaneously. It may not respond immediately keep doing it (try down 2) A series of options will appear, the first is reboot device simply tap the power button when u are over that option and your phone will reboot 1 Like |
