What I experienced with regards to results error during my days at unilorin was hell!!!

THIS Nigerian education system is so poor nowadays because what they use to admit students nowadays is not all about ur result but tribalism and love of money I am really sad about the university of ilorin this are the type of issues they could have solved before they start talking all this trash

There are some beaucratic nonsense that should be scrapped. Which sort of fckery of this?

Last last, they would give them one education course.

You were told to fill in your results accordingly and afterward attest that all that you uploaded were indeed your results and that if they turn out not to be your results, your admission will be revoked. Did you read the attestation or not? Did you attest or not?

Many people didn't take the attestation serious and so where they had C, they input B or A so as to boost their chances of gaining admission, this is nothing but fraud and the university is right to revoke the admission given to you. Many honest people with complete results were denied admission because of you guys, now you are here crying foul; Protesting and lamenting over your 20k acceptance fee, weren't you warned during registration? you're all on your own because Unilorin will never eat their words. Better go collect another Jamb.

Even if they are to consider you, what is left in the first semester? 3months gone already.

Madam the whole mistake started during the registration process. These same set of applicants denied many people admission because some uploaded a higher grade for subject they had something less thereby giving them advantage over others. You have to pay 20k acceptance fee before the clearance that doesn't mean you cannot be disqualified if the they found something wrong with your result.

Btw Unilorin don't take protest serious. As a matter of fact its the 1st tym m seeing a protest in the last 7yrs I've known the School.

You are asking about 1000, i believe ONE MILLION STUDENTS EVERY YEAR EITHER FORGE THEIR RESULTS OR ENGAGE IN EXAM MALPRACTICES OR OTHER EXAM VICES....

Unilorin used to do that before. They have once expelled 47 students because of fake WASSCE or IJMB results.....

[What is this one saying, y cant they upload fake result...they got admission through man knowan, u r now defending them here. Tell me what they use in admitting these ones. Their admission process wasn't free and fair. Reputable schools like U.I, Unilag , Oau etc used a fair system. Rubbish school.

We have to listen to both sides before drawing conclusion.

The students showing placards about admission palaver were not originally give admission at the university of Ilorin. Many of them might have got backdoor admission and resultant effect of such an action when they are exposed is to nullify the admission. May God assist my alma mata

Lol... You never talk Wetin dey pain you. 1000 out of how many you no tell us na. Go ask JAMB the number of applicants to Unilorin each year.

Most of them has already confessed that the cafes helping them to register during the post UTME process encouraged them to 'inflate' their grades for better chances of admission.
But it's a no brainer cuz they were caught eventually.

Let them go to court na.

Please change your orientation about Education (as a course). Seeing it as an alternative when our choices are not awarded contributed to the poor standard of Education in Nigeria .. In developed world you have to undergo rigorous training before you can become an instructor, facilitator or teacher...

Let me make this crystal clear. Unilorin is an envy and a highly sought-after school among the communities of tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Not only did the school have an edge above its peers in respect of academic standard but uninterruptible academic sessions. In respect to the issues raised by protesting students, the school is completely not to blame. The problem of these students are entirely due to their inability to follow simple instructions,negligence,impatience and sheer ignorance. The amiable institution of learning,having received an unprecedented number of applicants clearly published instructions which must be strictly followed,part of which include;uploading of accurate scratch cards of SSCE results(pin and serial no),uploading of accurate results,uploading of best 5 relevant results(4 utme subjects+1 other) among others. Applicants,out of sheer negligence dumped their credentials with CAFE guys who are only interested in making money.Cafe guys collect applications,filled incorrect info...

The cafe guy get applications from many candidates,open a browser with different tabs,filled wrong scores,5 relevant subjects,scratch cards informations and submit them on school portal. The candidates dont deem it smart to cross examine the informations,trusting a complete stranger whose only interest is making as much money from students and as fast as possible. During clearance,you bet such students will fail clearance. Unilorin has clearly warned applicants to upload correct results,attest to the results that the results are correct before submitting. In light of the above,i will advice the public to be properly informed and guided and that the affected students(seriously doubt the 1000 figure) to try again next year or try to forward a letter of plea to appropriate authorities for consideration next year as i seriously doubt if abmission this year is possible again. My humble submission. Long live UNILORIN. Better by far. Long live NAIRALAND. Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria.

UNILORIN Protest? Wow!

There's a university currently indicted in a litigation against one of their students. This student was given final clearance by this same university, was mobilized for service, given statement of result and his results were approved by the senate. This student rounded off his service 2015 and went to the school last year to request year, only to be told he was having 12 carryovers. How was he cleared? How was he mobilized? How did senate approve his results? The school has already been summoned by the court as we speak.

according to a friend who was also affected, the mistake was from the cafe attendant who helped him in filling d form online he put C6 instead of C5 in a subject...He sed d reason for the protest was because some students DAT know people that know people(people wey get leg) secretly cleared..
They have learnt their lesson next time they will cross check before submitting sensitive details.
