Exclusive- Godwin Obaje Joins Ifeanyi Uba FC, Becomes Highest Paid Player In NPF



Last season Nigeria Professional League top scorer Godwin Obaje has joined heavy spenders FC Ifeanyi Uba from Wikki Tourist.

Obaje finished as top scorer in the NPFL with 18 goals last season, and after two failed attempt to move abroad, he has pitched tent with the millionaire club.

” I have joined FC Ifeanyi Uba on a three year deal. I hope to help them achieve their continental and domestic aims this season”, Obaje told Owngoalnigeria.com.

His deal according to a source in the camp of Ifeanyi Uba makes him the highest paid player in the NPFL, but he refused to reveal the amount.

” He is now the highest paid player in the league, that is all I can tell you, and his contract will improve after every season. His salary is bigger and better than some in Europe”.

It is reported the Striker will now earn Obaje ₦500,000 weekly. Obaje is also said to have been placed on a monthly salary of ₦2million [about $6,500], which would make him the highest paid player in the league per Jide Alaka [ fc naija].

He is also a super eagles player on the homebased front. He's not been given enough coverage but the guy is very talented.

but singing doesn't stop them from playing football. I know of some kids who love singing but their dad put them in a football academy..
Register them into a football academy and watch their skills and performance if they didn't do well you withdraw them. But trust me they will make you a proud dad.

Looks like our own premier league teams are waking up.
We, the citizens of this potentially great country, need to

- show greater interest,
- fill up stadiums,
- buy team merchandise

so that TV channels also get involved instead of wasting our money on oyinbo leagues who still treat us like shit.

you want him to disclose the amount ,so that they will kidnap his family or begin to rob them,well it is a nice move for him,he should showcase his goal scoring prowess on the continent may be it will open door for Europe,let us see where Ifeanyi ubah fc the billionaires club will finish this season,it is high time they give us good result on the pitch not making the headlines for the wrong reasons.
