Permit me to digress a bit and say with sadness that your question is directed at a people whose majority support corruption either because they in one way or the other benefit from it, or are downright ret@rded and therefore get easily swayed by ethnic or religious sentiments.

Sorry to say, but you're wasting your time. You will be perceived as an enemy who is attacking someone's benefactor, or another person's hero. Your progressive intentions will be lost on the majority in this society. Left to the masses, Nigeria will not get better in the foreseeable future. The value system in this society promotes long term retrogression. Something as simple and basic as progressive questioning will mostly earn you insults.

I may be wrong though. But there is so much to convince one that the progress you seek will be extremely difficult. Good luck.

The question is simple how come DD moved from a house in Surulere to owning 1 in Ikoyi worth over 550 million Naira (2008 figures) in less than 8 years when we know he held a public office with defined entitlements within that period ?

Nobody says he has stolen but a searchlight must be beamed on such politically exposed persons to understand how they've become so wealthy whilst the people they govern become impoverished.

Now this does not mean DD wasn't one of the better performing governors but transparency is required at all levels.

Does'nt mean anything.Is the Comptroller General supposed to be a billionaire?Does he earn the same salary as CEO of Fortune 500 company on Wall Street?We all know the official salaries of goverment officials in the country. Just because Atiku Abubakar used his position when he Comptroller General to engage in many questionable acts and collect bribes does'nt mean Comptroller General earn billions during their time in office.
Why is it only Nigerian Comptroller Generals that become billionaires,why not their colleagues in UK,USA,Canada?
Based on their officials salaries and benefits goverment officials are not supposed to become billionaires.Nigeria is the headquarters of corruption in the world which explains why every goverment official is a billioanire.

It is about time Nigerians start questioning their leaders source of wealth it's the only way to stop corruption. If you go to Ikoyi,Banana Island,Garki,Maitama,Lekki,Victoria Island,VGC,you will find out that 90% of goverment officials live in these locations.How is this possible?

In other developed countries it is the complete opposite,you find corporate executive,sport stars and succesful entrepreneurs live in the best locations in the country. Why is it the richest people in the Nigeria are former goverment officials?Why does this only apply to Nigeria and other African countries?
