Happy Sunday to you all good people , I would like to know if there is anyone who has tried skill evaluation through vetasses for Internal Auditor . My hubby has a degree in business administration and happens to be a resident internal controller in a financial institution and would like to explore this option .

Internal Auditor is on the updated SOL list

In anticipation of a response o ...... thanks in advance .

How many years of experience does he have?

Does his duties align with that of ANZSCO descriptions?

Does he have any other finance related qualification?

Which school did he finish from?

1. You will have to submit all the qualifications include your bachelors so you can get the maximum 20points from qualification. I can imagine how difficult it is getting transcript from some schools. It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than getting ordinary transcript[/b]However, you have to try all you can to get it.

Goodluck.

2. You can't use the assessment of one occupation for another even if they look similar. Your assessment must be from the Occupation you are applying for. You just need to read the ANZSCO descriptions of the two occupations well and go with the one that closely align with your duties. With VETASSES, you should be very meticulous and careful in writing your job descriptions. It must align with ANZSCO description for positive assessment.

Goodluck.

Thanks bellong.

Hello Everyone,

I am a newbie here. I am very much interested in migrating to Australia and I will like to know what my chances here. I am 40 years old, married, a graduate of accounting from OAU, MBA from UNN and a chartered accountant (ICAN) and I have over 11 years working experience in banking but now in electricity industry. I am yet to take the IELTS and get assessment for my qualifications but I just want to know first what the probability is of getting a work visa before i start the process. I know the IELTS will not be problem though.

Also, if there is a link or archives of all correspondences on this forum that one can go through to get an idea of how things work in migrating to Australia, I will be grateful to have it. I am a DIY kind of person but still need professional assistance in getting required information.

Kindly assist.

Ok I will do that. I thought there will be a condensed version that captured all the relevant issues to save time. and also there might have been changes in Aussie immigration policies.

Thanks so much for the speedy response. Greatly appreciated.

Meanwhile, from the face of it, what are my chances?? will like to have a rough idea before i start committing resources and time to the project?

THANKS A LOT BELLONG, I WAS HOPING TO PAY LESS, YOU KNOW, BUT ITS ALL GOOD

bellong:
@Omambala,

There's nothing like claiming work experience with VETASSES except for the point test advice.

Your fee will be $810 for full assessment which is the standard.

Oga from what I have read, you do stand a good chance.
There however is no condensed version as you need to do plenty of reading. When you have read through it all and still feel you need some clarity then by all means ask then.
Be that as it may,I got my grant as an accountant so feel free to dig up my old posts.

Do you mean he has an HND in addition to a bachelor degree?

@Afope,

Write your IELTS, there's nothing stopping you from getting a positive assessment.

Start the process now...

Simply put, open a dorm account. get fx from aboki, fund dorm, use ur USD card to make payment (TESTED, TRUSTED, EFFICIENT, FAST BUT EXPENSIVE)

other routes
Western union or Moneygram to a contact in Australia
FX transfer to AU

Greatly informative thread! Thanks to all for the helpful contributions. Please weigh in on this for me:
I've taken IELTS (awaiting results). I'm now looking at assessment (probably with VETASSESS). I have a BSc Biochemistry (Uniben) and a post grad diploma in journalism. My concern is my experience is disjointed: HR, media, NGO, with periods of unemployment inbetween with at most a year in each field. Total of 6 years. I'm looking at selecting Specialist Manager nec from the CSOL. Would it fly or could there be a better option or way around the work experience?

Please your suggestions/contributions are greatly needed and appreciated.

@ Omambala

Adding the years to each line will help others give better information, i.e. the year for completing BSc, Msc, work experience and all.

Good day Gurus in the house, a great work you all are doing here.
A quick one please i have read this thread from 0 - 154 shocked and i assure you that i have gained alot from your wealth of knowledge.
i read through with anticipation that someone would have answered this question. please any Architect in the house or if you know one who has assessed with AACA(Architects accreditation council of Australia)
1. How was the syllabus presented as i have an e-copy must i get a hard copy or can i print and certify it?
2.How where you able to assess your self with the "self assessment matrix?
3. please i need hints on how you wrote the: Cover letter (maximum 2 x A4 pages) addressing why you think your academic qualification(s) is equivalent to an Australian accredited academic qualification in Architecture
4. What payment mode did you use?
5. Did you assess with your Bsc or Msc as i dont have my Msc certificate yet + i did Masters in urban design and part time.

Thanks for your contribution

Hello people, please I have plans of migrating to Australia through the independent skills visa option. I really want to know if anyone (Nigerians) have migrated through this Visa option. Also I would like to know if there is any Nigerian Practicing Architect in Australia in this forum
I really need to inquire from such a person if there are job opportunities in this field over there and also if our Educational Qualifications are accepted by the AACA (Accreditation body for Architects).

Thanks.

Yes you need CDR for assessment with EA. Based on popular opinion, you're better off with EA than TRA.

Thanks boss. Pls do you have specific reason. Am scared of CDR writing, so I was looking towards TRA

Many big boys like you have written that thing called CDR here oh. I mean people like Mctowel, Bnimz, Jamson, ibiyemiara, ifexsco. So bro, nothing should stop you from writing it, all you need do is ask for sample which I am very sure will be released to you free of charge.
See I am not begging you to do it oh, I am mandating you to do it ni, and do it fast enough.
Before I go to bed, you might be asking yourself why I am karamasiki you....I feel EA is like you taking aeroplane to Abuja from Lagos, while TRA is like travelling in keke maruwa to same destination.
