Customs are very much informed. They are just trying to cover their asses in case a legal issue comes up. All they will say is that the goods were abandoned and duties and holding charges were not paid after xx years, hence, the goods were forfeited to the government. More so since most of those letters were not addressed to customs.

1. Is Ameachi not in this FG that declared the helicopters as imported by unknown person?why didn't he say it belonged 2 Rivers state before Wike bursted that lie 4m customs?
2. If GEJ n Wike frustrated it 4m getting to the Rivers people as he wants us to believe why has he nt made efforts to assist the state to take delivery of it nearly 2yrs he got to the FG? That's to show he's intent was never 4 the state

This is really silly, because according to the Nigerian customs the choppers were impounded over the absence of end user certificates which contravenes section 36(2) of the customs and excise management Act. End user certificates are required for clearing arms and military equiment to ensure that they do not get into the wrong hands. So the question is, did the Rivers state government under Rotimi Amaechi provide end user certificates for these choppers?

It is very obvious that some illegal things were done to get the helicopters here but because of political differences, the helicopters got stuck. I is obvious Ameachi bought it, but couldnt get to use it. Its obvious that because of change in government, Wike is getting a bite of his own concoction by the FG seizing them.
